Johor Amanah urges end to Pulai MP health rumours
JOHOR BAHRU: Johor Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) has urged all parties to stop spreading inaccurate information and unfounded perceptions regarding the health condition of Pulai Member of Parliament, Suhaizan Kaiat. Its chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said the latest information received by the party indicated that Suhaizan, who is also Johor Amanah vice-chairman, is in stable condition. He added that the party would continue to provide official updates as necessary. He noted that some of the information and sources previously shared were inaccurate, leading to public panic, confusion, and the spread of baseless theories. 'Johor Amanah hopes such perceptions will cease, and we urge everyone to refrain from issuing unauthorised or unverified statements. 'We also call on Malaysians to pray for YB Suhaizan's recovery. Syafakallah,' he said in a statement today. Suhaizan was reported to have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital yesterday due to low oxygen levels and a high fever.

Pulai MP admitted to ICU following drop in oxygen levels, in stable condition
PETALING JAYA: Pulai MP Suhaizan Kaiat, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Johor Bahru, last night after his oxygen levels dropped due to a bacterial infection. According to Berita Harian, Johor Amanah chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said Suhaizan's condition is now stable, though he still requires continuous monitoring. 'It's true that Suhaizan has been hospitalised since Monday due to an intestinal infection and high white blood cell count, which caused his oxygen levels to drop,' he said. 'Alhamdulillah, Suhaizan is stable, but last night he developed a high fever and his oxygen levels decreased. This morning his condition is stable and he is conscious, but remains under doctor's observation in the ICU,' he told the Malay daily, today.. Earlier, Suhaizan's aide had mentioned that the former Johor state speaker was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital here around 11pm, last night. 'Visits are not permitted while he remains in the ICU. Let us pray together for Suhaizan's speedy recovery,' the assistant was quoted as saying. On September 9, 2023, Suhaizan, who is also the Vice Chairman of Johor Amanah, won the Pulai parliamentary seat with a majority of 18,641 votes in the Pulai by-election. Suhaizan received 48,283 votes, defeating Zulkifli Jaafar from Perikatan Nasional (PN) who obtained 29,642 votes, while independent candidate Samsudin Mohamad Fauzi received only 528 votes. Suhaizan replaced Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, the 61-year-old former Pulai MP and Amanah Deputy President, who passed away on July 23, 2023.

PETALING JAYA : Pulai MP Suhaizan Kaiat was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Johor Bahru last night due to a bacterial infection, according to Johor Amanah chief Aminolhuda Hassan. Aminolhuda said Suhaizan's oxygen level had dropped due to the infection, but that he was now in stable condition and being closely monitored. 'It's true that Suhaizan was hospitalised on Monday due to an intestinal infection and elevated white blood cell count, which caused his oxygen level to drop. 'Alhamdulillah, his condition is now stable. However, he developed a high fever last night, which led to a further drop in his oxygen level. 'This morning, he was stable and conscious, but doctors are continuing to monitor him in the ICU,' he was quoted as saying by Berita Harian. The Malay-language daily reported Suhaizan's aide as earlier confirming that the former Johor assembly speaker was admitted to a private hospital at around 11pm yesterday. 'Visits are not permitted while he remains in the ICU. Let us all pray for Suhaizan's speedy recovery,' the aide added. Suhaizan won the Pulai seat with a majority of 18,641 votes in a by-election on Sept 9, 2023. The by-election was called after its elected representative, Salahuddin Ayub, died on July 23 the same year.
