Additional charge laid against man accused in fatal stabbing outside downtown Calgary bar
A 19-year-old man accused of murder in relation to a fatal stabbing outside a downtown Calgary bar now faces an additional charge.
Drayden Leroy Nayneecassum-Toto was previously charged with second-degree murder, in relation to the death of Jonas Robert Nedd Sutton, 21, on April 26 outside Commonwealth Bar and Stage, located at 731 10th Ave. S.W.
Calgary police were initially called to the scene due to reports of a large brawl.
Officers arrived to find three people injured.
Sutton was pronounced dead upon arriving at the hospital.

On Thursday, Calgary police said Nayneecassum-Toto has additionally been charged with aggravated assault, in relation to a second victim who was injured in the altercation.
Nayneecassum-Toto is next set to appear in court in Calgary on Friday.
