Latest NCAA bracket predictions for Alabama baseball entering SEC Tournament

Latest NCAA bracket predictions for Alabama baseball entering SEC Tournament Alabama baseball closed the regular season with 40 wins for the first time since 2002. Despite dropping two of three to a blistering Florida Gators team, it was only the third time since 2010 that the Crimson Tide had won 40 games in a year, postseason included. Even in the ultra competitive SEC, coach Rob Vaughn is showing signs of building Alabama into the type of program it once was in the late 90s and early 2000s -- a perennial threat to get to the College World Series in Omaha. Alabama, ranked No. 21 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll after falling five spots since its series loss in Gainesville, entered the SEC Tournament as the No. 9 seed. The Crimson Tide defeated Missouri, 4-1, on Tuesday and face Tennessee Wednesday. Here are the latest postseason projections for Alabama from Baseball America, D1 Baseball, On3 and more. NCAA Baseball Tournament projections: Will Alabama host a regional? Baseball America: Alabama is No. 15 overall seed, hosting Northeastern (45-9), Cincinnati (31-23) and Bryant (32-17) in Tuscaloosa Regional at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. D1 Baseball: Alabama is a two-seed projection, visiting host Clemson (41-15) with Xavier (31-25) and Wright State (34-18) in Clemson Regional. USA TODAY Sports, The Tennessean: Alabama is No. 13 overall seed, hosting Dallas Baptist (38-14), Duke (36-18) and Long Island (32-21) in Tuscaloosa Regional. On3: Alabama is No. 12 overall seed, hosting Dallas Baptist, Oklahoma State (27-22), and Oral Roberts (34-20) in Tuscaloosa Regional. On3's Jonathan Wagner believes Alabama is a "lock" to host a regional: "Alabama finished the regular season 40-15 overall, 16-14 in SEC play, 14-11 in Q1 games and No. 9 in RPI. They are a lock to host a regional, and could factor into the top eight discussion with a strong showing in Hoover." Alabama schedule 2025 Alabama faces Tennessee in the second round of the SEC Tournament in Hoover at approximately 1 p.m. (CT) Wednesday. The game can be on SEC Network. Latest NCAA Tournament projections for Clemson baseball entering ACC regular season finale

Latest NCAA Tournament projections for Clemson baseball entering ACC regular season finale The Clemson Tigers have only one weekend left in the 2025 ACC baseball regular season and are looking to snap a string of three straight weekend series losses. Clemson gave up 23 runs over the final two games of its most recent series, dropping back-to-back games to a hot-hitting Duke Blue Devils team. Since the Tigers' 3-0 shutout win over a top five Georgia Bulldogs team on April 22, they've gone just 2-8 in their last 10 games. Erik Bakich's team is down another four spots to No. 13 in this week's USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and is now 38-15 overall and 15-12 in ACC play. The Tigers also fell five spots in the RPI to No. 14 and will close regular-season play against the Pitt Panthers beginning Thursday at Cost Field. Here are the latest postseason projections for Clemson baseball as of May 14. Will Tigers host a regional? Clemson baseball updated NCAA Tournament projections Here's where the major outlets see Clemson on the seed line for the 2025 NCAA Tournament entering the final weekend of ACC regular season play. Baseball America: Clemson is No. 14 overall seed, hosting Ole Miss (35-17), Kansas (39-14) and Rhode Island (33-19) in Clemson Regional at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. D1 Baseball: Clemson is a two-seed projection, visiting host Coastal Carolina (41-11) in Conway Regional with Cincinnati Bearcats (29-22) and Yale Bulldogs (30-12). USA TODAY Sports, The Tennessean: Clemson is a two-seed projection, visiting host Alabama (39-13) in Tuscaloosa Regional with Northeastern (41-9) and Wright State (32-17). On3: Clemson is No. 14 overall seed, hosting Ole Miss, Northeastern and High Point (37-15) in Clemson Regional at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. "Clemson is another team that is trending dangerously close to the hosting bubble right now," On3's Jonathan Wagner said earlier this week. "The Tigers have dropped three straight series, now 38-15 overall, 15-12 in the ACC and No. 14 in RPI, with a 6-10 Q1 record. Clemson can't afford to lose their final series of the year at Pitt, and a strong showing in the conference tournament would be big to solidify themselves as a host." Baseball America dropped Clemson five spots in its list of regional site hosts this week to No. 14. D1 Baseball moved the Tigers from the projected No. 10 overall seed into its list of potential hosts with ACC rival Georgia Tech as well as UC Irvine, Dallas Baptist and Ole Miss. Three teams edge just ahead of Clemson in The Tennessean's host site projections: Tennessee, UCLA and Oregon State. NCAA Baseball Tournament top five seed projections, updated May 14 Despite losing back-to-back weekend series (to Arkansas and Florida), the Texas Longhorns (40-10) remain the projected No. 1 overall seed by the four outlets mentioned above. Baseball America has LSU as the No. 2 seed, Auburn at No. 3, Georgia at No. 4, and Arkansas rounding out the top five. D1 Baseball also has LSU as the No. 2 seed, with Arkansas at No. 3. Florida State and Vanderbilt round out their projected top five seeds after the Seminoles took two of three from California in Berkeley on Sunday. Clemson schedule 2025 The Tigers face the Pitt Panthers (27-23 overall, 10-17 conference) beginning at 6 p.m. ET Thursday. The series can be streamed on ACC Network Extra. Pitt dropped two of three to Wake Forest in its last series. Contact us @Clemson_Wire on X, and like our page on Facebook for ongoing coverage of Clemson Tigers news and notes, plus opinions.

Georgia baseball NCAA Tournament projections ahead of SEC finale

Georgia baseball NCAA Tournament projections ahead of SEC finale The Georgia Bulldogs baseball team (40-13, 16-11) is primed to make the NCAA Tournament. The only question is what seed will Georgia earn? Georgia is ranked No. 8 in the coaches poll, so the Bulldogs are on the cusp of being a top eight seed in the NCAA Tournament. Georgia holds the No. 1 ranking in RPI, but the Bulldogs are no lock to end up as a top eight seed and need to finish the season strong. The top eight national seeds are all guaranteed to host both a regional and super regional (if they win their regional). Georgia is looking to host a super regional for the second year in a row. Georgia still has its final regular season series of the year against the Texas A&M Aggies. Georgia is also looking to secure a top four seed in the SEC Tournament, which would give Georgia a bye until the quarterfinals. Georgia is tied for fourth in the SEC entering their final SEC series. Does it matter if Georgia is a national top eight seed? Yes, the Bulldogs are much better at home. Georgia is 27-3 at home this season, but just 10-10 on the road. Manager Wes Johnson and Georgia have not lost a single series at home all season. Georgia wants the path to the College World Series to run through Athens. Where is Georgia baseball projected in the NCAA Tournament? On3's projection "Georgia lost their most recent series to Alabama, and drop a couple spots down to our No. 5 overall seed this week," said Jonathan Wagner of On3. "Still, the Bulldogs are 40-13 overall, 16-11 in the SEC and No. 1 in RPI, with an 11-10 Q1 record. They are locked into a top eight seed with RPI sitting so highly, and with a strong final weekend, could slide back up to the top overall seeds in the tournament." Projection: No. 5 national seed The Tennessean's projection The Tennessean projects that Georgia host Miami, Troy and Fairfield. As the No. 7 national seed, Georgia needs to win a few more games in order to lock in a top eight seed and host a super regional. Projection: No. 7 national seed Baseball America's projection Baseball America's projections are a "blend of standings and metrics" and has 13 SEC teams in the field. Georgia is highly respected in Baseball America's bracket. Notably, Georgia will play Texas A&M, who is one of the "next four out" of the NCAA Tournament, so the Aggies will be very motivated against Georgia. Projection: No. 4 national seed
