Galesburg PD arrest 2 in separate narcotics, weapons cases
A news release from the Galesburg Police Department (GPD) said officers recently arrested two people in two separate narcotics and weapons cases.
GPD executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Michigan Avenue on February 4. Jordan L. Eskridge, 29, was arrested without incident at the address. Officers served a search warrant and seized:
1.2 pounds of cannabis
8.6 pounds of methamphetamine
Two handguns
Eskridge was taken to the Knox County Jail and charged in Knox County Court with possession of meth over 500 grams, meth delivery over 500 grams and armed habitual criminal. He is being held in the Knox County Jail
In the second investigation, officers executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Harding Avenue on Thursday, February 6 and found cannabis, heroin, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, ecstasy pills and a Ruger handgun. An arrest warrant was issued for George G. Sutton, 41, who lives at the address where the warrant was served. He was arrested at a different location and taken into custody without incident. Sutton was processed at the Know County Jail and charged in Knox County Court with possession of a firearm by a felon, manufacture/deliver of heroin, manufacture/delivery of cocaine and possession of a controlled substance. He is being held in the Knox County Jail.
