Buccaneers Meet with Tampa-Raised QB Ahead of NFL Draft
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and general manager Jason Licht have been praised for their moves in the first wave of free agency. Licht and the Bucs have kept important pieces from last season while adding some talent from the outside to better the roster ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft, which begins April 24 in Green Bay. Advertisement Tampa Bay is set at the quarterback position as Baker Mayfield enters the second season of his three-year, $100 million deal signed last offseason, and backup Kyle Trask enters his fifth season in the league with a fresh one-year, $2.8 million deal that he signed earlier this month. The Bucs also have former Tulane passer Michael Pratt, who will most likely play as the team's emergency QB this season. But competition is always good ... for everyone. And in that spirit, the Bucs met with a local kid for a pre-draft workout. Aaron Wilson reported that former Texas State Bobcats quarterback and Tampa native Jordan McCloud has met with the Buccaneers.
