Mass. teen found shot dead in parked car identified
The 19-year-old who was killed in a shooting in New Bedford Tuesday night has been identified as New Bedford resident Jordan Roman, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office announced Thursday evening.
The district attorney's office did not indicate that any suspects had been identified or arrested in connection with Roman's death, but said in a press release that the investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
Roman was shot and killed while sitting in the driver's seat of a Hyundai Sonata around 10 p.m. on April 29, the district attorney's office said previously. At the time, the car was parked on the east side of Acushnet Avenue near Griffin Court.
Police responded to the shooting shortly after it happened, but Roman was declared dead at St. Luke's Hospital, the district attorney's office said. The Hyundai was found to have been damaged by 'multiple projectile strikes.'
No further information about Roman's death has been released.
