Robinhood Expands Desktop Trading Platform to UK
Robinhood Markets, Inc. (NASDAQ:HOOD) launched its desktop trading platform in the UK on May 28. This move extends the company's advanced trading tools to 11 million traders in the country, and comes months after Robinhood Legend was unveiled for American users in October 2024. He noted that many traders recognize trading offers a more efficient path to financial goals than traditional low-interest savings accounts. The UK launch is part of Robinhood's broader strategy to expand beyond its core trading business. The company launched wealth management and private banking services in March, aiming to become a more comprehensive financial services provider for customers.
