Body found in Miami County pond believed to be Jordan Yust

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Monday, the Miami County Sheriff's Office reported a man's body was found in a pond near West 247th Street and U.S. 69 Highway. The identity of the person is still being determined, but the sheriff's office believes it is Jordan Yust. Download WDAF+ for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV Yust, 37, has been missing since March 3. He left his home in Olathe around 11 a.m. that day. His car was later found on U.S. 69 near 247th Street. According to a Facebook post on March 12, deputies believed that Yust may have been in the area of West 247th Street and Ridgeview Road around March 9 and/or March 10. Searches for Yust included local search and rescue teams, like the Kansas Search and Rescue Team, the Missouri Search and Rescue Team, the Kansas Highway Patrol Aviation Unit, and Taking it to the Streets. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Olathe Police Department is searching for a missing 38-year-old man who disappeared from a residential neighborhood on Monday morning. According to officers, Jordan Yust was last seen leaving the area of West 141st Street and South Widmer Street at around 11 a.m. Monday. He was said to be wearing a green Columbia coat and blue jeans. Police describe him as a 5-foot-7, 175-pound man with brown eyes, a brown beard and a bald head. Police said Jordan is 'endangered' because he had made statements related to self-harm.
