Johnny Lever remarked, 'Govinda jab kaam karte hai toh pagalon ki tarah karte hain. When he's on set, he pours his heart into his work. He becomes so engrossed in what he's doing that I often wonder where he finds all that energy. Comedy is inherently challenging, yet he would shoot 5-6 films a day, dedicating 2-3 hours to each one.'
He went on to say that there was a time when Govinda could easily deliver comedy amidst a hectic schedule. Not only in comedy, but also in dance, he was exceptional. 'Aadmi beemar pad jata hai, thak jata hai, Uss beech main kabhi kabaar unke ghar jaya karta tha, kabhi unhein typhoid ho gaya hota, kabhi kuch.
