Drug trafficker caught with 60 pounds of fentanyl on I-5, police say
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An Oregon State Police trooper found a suspected drug trafficker in possession of 60 pounds of fentanyl during a traffic stop on I-5 Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Jose Ivan Iribe Camorlinga, 46, was arrested and charged with possessing fentanyl with the intent to distribute.
According to OSP, Camorlinga was pulled over due to an unlawful lane change on I-5 near Albany.
'A trooper searched the vehicle and found two large bags containing 25 vacuum-sealed packages of fentanyl in the trunk. In total, law enforcement seized more than 60 pounds of fentanyl powder,'
He was transferred into DEA custody after his arrest.
