Fatal Easter Sunday fire ruled accidental
A fatal fire on Easter Sunday in Millcreek Township has now been ruled accidental. According to Millcreek Township Police Captain Donald Kucenski, fire marshals with the Pennsylvania State Police found that after an investigation, the fire in the 4400 block of South Park Lane likely started either by careless smoking or cooking inside the home. Fatal Millcreek fire remains under investigation The blaze ignited a mobile home, killing 79-year-old Judy Jackson, who was identified by Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook on April 22. Captain Kucenski said that while the official cause is still undetermined, their report shows that careless cooking or smoking was 'proven possible within a reasonable degree of fire investigative certainty.'
