The Cardinal secured their fifth consecutive victory at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational, setting a new tournament scoring record at 29-under par.
Stanford's sophomore golfer, Paula Martin Sampedro, claimed her second individual win of the season, tying for first place with Oregon's Karen Tsuru and USC's Jasmine Koo.
Through five stroke-play tournaments this season, top-ranked Stanford has played 65 teams. The Cardinal haven't lost to a single one.
Stanford took home the team title Tuesday in the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational, topping No. 3 Oregon by eight shots for the team title. The Cardinal finished at 29-under par, setting a new tournament scoring record. Fourth-ranked USC was the only other team to finish in the red at 7 under.
Only one team, USC, has even tied Stanford during a stroke-play event this year, but the Cardinal won the Stanford Intercollegiate via a scorecard playoff in the fall.
The defending national champions show no signs of showing down, and that's in large part due to its depth. Sophomore Paula Martin Sampedro became the first Cardinal to win multiple medalist honors in one season since Rose Zhang in 2022-23, as she shot 6-under 66 in the final round to get to 13 under for the week, which was tied with Oregon sophomore Karen Tsuru and USC freshman Jasmine Koo for co-medalist honors.
Martin Sampedro is the 12th Cardinal all-time with multiple collegiate wins. She also won The Molly earlier this season.
Fellow sophomore Kelly Xu finished solo fourth at 12 under. She led alone for a majority of the final round but ended up a shot out of medalist honors. Sophomore Megha Ganne placed solo seventh at 3 under, and freshman Meja Ortengren tied for 10th. Among counting scores, Stanford's worst finisher was Nora Sundberg, who tied for 20th. Three different Cardinal have won medalist honors this season, including both spring events.
For Koo, it's her fourth victory of the season, and she shot 7 under in the final round to earn another trophy. It was the first collegiate win for Tsuru.
Dating to last season, Stanford has won eight consecutive stroke-play events. With the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa approaching quickly, one thing remains clear.
To win a national title, the road goes through Stanford.
