Wanted Columbian man arrested in State College on rape charges
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of a Columbian citizen wanted by Panama law enforcement.
Julio Cesar Henao-Cordoba, 38, was arrested on charges of aggravated rape of a child outside his residence in State College March 14. Authorities in Panama issued an arrest warrant for Henao for aggravated rape of a minor Sept. 2, 2020.
In 2022, Henao was arrested in Texas for entering the United States without admission or parole by an immigration official. He was then transferred to ICE, enrolled in the alternatives to detention program and paroled into the U.S.
Later that same year, Henao reported to ICE in York and received a notice to appear sharing inadmissibility and terminated him from alternatives to detention due to his residence falling outside of the range of the program.
ICE detained Henao at the Clinton County Correctional Facility in McElhattan following his arrest. Members of the public with information can report crimes or suspicious activity by dialing the ICE Tip Line at 866-347-2423.
