Bahrain participates in 29th Muscat International Book Fair

His Excellency Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Bahrain's Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, commended the Kingdom's participation in the 29th Muscat International Book Fair, underscoring the close fraternal ties between Bahrain and Oman and Bahrain's commitment to maintaining a strong cultural presence at major events. Held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre under the patronage of Dr. Fahad bin Al Julanda Al Said, vice chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University, the Fair gathered over 600 publishing houses from 35 countries, offering diverse publications across technical, cultural, political, and social fields. Dr. Al Kaabi emphasised Bahrain's annual participation as a platform to showcase its rich cultural heritage and deepen cultural engagement. He highlighted the continued growth of Bahraini-Omani relations under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, reflected in joint initiatives.

Bahrain Highlights Cultural Ties at Muscat International Book Fair

Muscat: Bahrain's participation in the 29th Muscat International Book Fair has been praised by Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Bahrain's Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman. He emphasized the close fraternal ties between Bahrain and Oman and Bahrain's commitment to maintaining a strong cultural presence at major events. According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre under the patronage of Dr. Fahad bin Al Julanda Al Said, vice chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University. The fair brought together over 600 publishing houses from 35 countries, offering a wide range of publications across technical, cultural, political, and social fields. Dr. Al Kaabi highlighted Bahrain's annual participation as an opportunity to showcase its cultural heritage and enhance cultural engagement. He noted the growth of Bahraini-Omani relations under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, which is reflected in joint initiatives and cultural cooperation. Rana bint Fahad Mohammad, Cultural Advisor at Bahrain's Embassy in Oman, noted the strong visitor turnout at the Bahrain pavilion, which featured significant literary and heritage publications, underscoring Bahrain's dedication to promoting its cultural legacy. Khalifa Salem, a representative of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), stated that BACA's pavilion included publications from the joint publishing project and cultural books by Bahraini authors. The pavilion also featured titles on heritage, literature, arts, history, and archaeology, as well as the Knowledge Transfer Project, which offers around 50 translated works from French, Italian, English, and other languages. He added that BACA continues to promote Bahraini authors by supporting publishing initiatives, organizing lectures, hosting book launches, and enriching Arabic libraries with Bahraini intellectual and literary contributions.

The Omani-Bahraini Bazaar opened at Oman Avenues Mall in Muscat under the patronage of Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman. The event was attended by Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Oman; and Rudaina bint Amer Al Hajriyah, Chairwoman of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association. Organised by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association in cooperation with Bahrain's Embassy in Oman, the exhibition runs until March 26 and features 30 exhibitors—17 from Oman and 13 from Bahrain—showcasing products including clothing, perfumes, traditional sweets, accessories, and handicrafts reflecting both cultures. The event aims to enhance Bahraini-Omani ties, support entrepreneurs, create job opportunities, and boost trade partnerships. It aligns with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and Oman Vision 2040, highlighting the role of entrepreneurs in economic growth. Al Kaabi said the organisation of this edition of the bazaar reflects Bahrain's support for entrepreneurship. He noted that the event highlights the strong ties between the two countries, building on the results of the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Oman in January of this year. On her part, Al Hajriyah said the bazaar is the result of joint cooperation between the embassy and the association. She highlighted that the event contributes to economic development in both countries by supporting entrepreneurs and SME owners, with the aim of stimulating commercial and economic activity between Bahrain and Oman. Omani-Bahraini Bazaar Exhibition kicks off in Muscat

Muscat : The Omani-Bahraini Bazaar Exhibition kicked off at the Oman Mall in Bausher, Muscat Governorate, under the patronage of His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion. Its organisation comes within the framework of achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040 and Bahrain Vision 2030, by strengthening the role of small and medium enterprises in economic development. The exhibition features 30 exhibitors, including 17 Omanis and 13 Bahrainis, offering a diverse range of products, including fashion, perfumes, incense, Omani frankincense, traditional sweets, accessories, handicrafts, heritage products, and household items. The exhibition, which runs until Wednesday, March 26, aims to strengthen the historical relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain, support entrepreneurs, create new investment opportunities, and increase trade exchange. His Excellency Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, emphasized that organising this edition of the exhibition underscores the government's interest and support for entrepreneurs in developing their businesses and increasing their production, which contributes to increasing their contribution to the gross domestic product. Al Kaabi pointed out that organising this exhibition reflects the strength and solidity of Bahraini-Omani relations, praising the development of these relations and their growth in all fields, particularly in trade and partnerships in small and medium enterprises. His Excellency expressed his hope and anticipation that the next phase will witness more events between the two brotherly countries in all fields, to achieve the desired rapprochement and integration in all development areas. For her part, Rudaina bint Amer Al Hajri, Chairwoman of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Society, indicated that this exhibition is the result of cooperation and coordination between the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman and the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Society. The Chairwoman of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association emphasized that organising exhibitions is one of the main priorities of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association. These events are part of various activities and represent an added value to the economies of both brotherly countries by supporting entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises, with the aim of creating economic and commercial activity between the two brotherly countries. Al Hajri explained that the Omani-Bahraini Bazaar Exhibition in Muscat is the fourth event of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, following the success of the Products Exhibition held last January in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. She noted that there is a package of upcoming events—including exhibitions, seminars, and conferences—that will take place this year, 2025, and are organized by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association in cooperation with the embassies of both countries. The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, Rudaina bint Amer Al Hajri, President of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, along with a number of officials, heads of diplomatic missions, and representatives of civil society and the media. The event was organized by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Sultanate of Oman.
