Juneteenth in the Bluff returning June 20
PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is looking to bring the community together for the second annual Juneteenth in the Bluff celebration.
The Juneteenth in the Bluff: Arts & Culture Festival will be held from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, June 20, in the Delta Rhythm and Bayous Cultural District at 3rd & Main Streets.

Little Rock native and R&B singer Lenny Williams will headline the festival, with artists SINGA B and Terry Wright as opening acts.
This year, the festival will have the HBCU Line Dance Challenge, where many are invited to sign up to create a large line of dancers. There will also be carnival rides, food trucks, and small businesses at the event.
'Juneteenth in the Bluff is more than a festival—it's a tribute to freedom, resilience, and the African American cultural experience,' UAPB Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement George Cotton said. 'We were blown away by the support in 2024 and thrilled that our partners were just as eager as we were to do it again this year, bigger and better.'
The story behind Juneteenth and how it became a federal holiday
KATV's morning anchor Ryan Houston and Power 92.3's Christian the Comedian will emcee the event.
This celebration will come a day after Juneteenth, a federal holiday to celebrate the ending of slavery in the United States on June 19, 1865.
