Jupiter police: Man, 73, threatened to kill President Trump in Facebook post
JUPITER — Police arrested a Jupiter man Friday on charges of threatening President Donald Trump in a social media post, a day before Trump was set to visit his northern Palm Beach County golf club. Glenn DeCicco, 73, was arrested after police were alerted to 'a concerning Facebook post,' the Jupiter Police Department said on social media. DeCicco was charged with intimidation/making written threats to kill, after an investigation into statements he made on social media confirmed he had made a written threat against the president, police said. During his first appearance Saturday, DeCicco was ordered not to have any contact with Trump or his property, court records show. Jupiter Police worked in coordination with the U.S. Secret Service throughout the investigation, police said in a Facebook post. DeCicco is being held without bail at the Palm Beach County Jail. The arrest came amid Trump's eighth weekend in Palm Beach since taking office. He spent Saturday and Sunday at his Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, where he competed in the Senior Club Championship. In a post on X, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi thanked Jupiter police for their swift response. 'Threats against POTUS or any Secret Service protectee are taken very seriously,' he wrote. 'Our success often starts with tips from the public so please continue to report suspicious activity to police.' According to jail records, DeCicco lives about a half-hour north of Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club, which is in Palm Beach.
