We have admired couples who give their best on-screen. They work together in almost all the films, or most of the movies in their career together, that people start believing they are real couples like Raj Kapoor and Nargis Dutt, Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla.
There is a couple who broke records by featuring together in the highest number of films. They even hold the Guinness World Record for appearing as an on-screen pair in the most films. Their names are Prem Nazir and Sheela, who worked together in 130 films between 1962 and 1981. A few of them are Kaattumaina, Susheela, Althaara, Ollathumathi, and Ashwamedham.
Sheela started her acting journey from childhood. She made her debut at 17. As soon as she entered the industry, she grabbed many eyeballs with her expressive face, strong screen presence, and remarkable dialogue delivery. Soon, she became a fan favourite across South Indian cinema. She has worked in movies in different languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and even Urdu.
Prem Nazir was born as Abdul Khader. He got his career break with Visappinte Vili (1952), his second film, made for K&K Combines (Udaya Studio) by Telugu director Mohan Rao. It was on the set of this movie he was renamed to Prem Nazir by Thikkurussi Sukumaran Nair. By the time he completed his education, he had become an experienced drama artist.
