Keurig Coffee King Wakes Up Big Money Buyers, Listing His Palm Beach Mega Mansion For $90 Million
Benzinga and Yahoo Finance LLC may earn commission or revenue on some items through the links below. Robert Stiller, best known as the former CEO and founder of Keurig Green Mountain coffee, has awoken luxury brokers and buyers in coveted Palm Beach by listing his sprawling waterfront mansion for $90 million. The 13,375-square-foot home, which was built in 2013, comes with a deep water dock, seven bedrooms, and over 150 feet of frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway. Stiller — the former coffee king who left the Green Mountain board in 2013 — and his wife, Christine, have not owned the home for long, buying it in 2023 for $66 million, according to the Palm Beach Daily News. The potential $24 million windfall the couple could make on the home, not including fees, closing costs, and capital gains taxes, works out to about $2 million per month of ownership. Don't Miss: Hasbro, MGM, and Skechers trust this AI marketing firm — Inspired by Uber and Airbnb – Deloitte's fastest-growing software company is transforming 7 billion smartphones into income-generating assets – The Stillers have picked an opportune time to sell, as Palm Beach homes have sold for record-high prices since the election. According to Douglas Elliman data, single-family homes in the wealthy South Florida enclave have seen 31 sales, an increase of 63.2% compared to Q1 over the same period last year. Higher-end home sales have been particularly robust, with median sales prices of $13.95 million enjoying an 11.6% jump year-over-year. The luxury sector, representing the top 10% of the market, was up 22.2% over the previous year. According to the report, median sales in the highest echelon also soared to $23.75 million, a 70.9% increase from a median of $13.9 million a year earlier. Trending: Maker of the $60,000 foldable home has 3 factory buildings, 600+ houses built, and big plans to solve housing — It's unlikely Stiller, whose net worth is $508 million, will be counting on selling his home to pay his bills. The innovative coffee magnate made his fortune by selling coffee and K-Cups, the now-popular single-serve coffee pods. Despite a financial setback in 2012, when he was forced to sell 5 million shares to cover margin calls to cover loans taken against his position, Stiller has enjoyed success after success. Stiller initially sold coffee as a retailer in Vermont after discovering Green Mountain Coffee Roasters during a ski trip to the state in the 1980s, Inc. reported, but stopped that side of the business to focus on manufacturing. The company went public in 1993 and enjoyed a soaring stock price in the 2000s, during which time Green Mountain became one of the first coffee companies to join the Fair Trade movement. In 2006, Stiller invested in a single-serving coffee machine company, Keurig. In 2016, the company was bought for $13.9 billion and taken private by JAB Holding, owner of Peet's Coffee and other brands, according to multiple media sources. Keurig Green Mountain and Dr Pepper Snapple Group merged in 2018 in a deal worth $18.7 billion, to form Keurig Dr Pepper (NASDAQ:KDP), multiple outlets reported. Keurig owns or partners with multiple brands to produce different varieties of its single-serve coffee Keurig has received criticism about the environmental impact of its K-Cups, Stiller prefers to consider the company's overall impact. 'I feel overall we made a positive impact with the company. It reminds me of when we were doing a lot of Fair Trade coffee,' he told Inc. 'We got pushback from some Fair Trade companies: How could we sell regular coffee? 'I think you need to be successful as an organization, first and foremost,' Stiller said. 'We needed to have a complete coffee offering. We got into [food services company] Sodexo with our regular coffee, and then a couple of years later, they switched to Fair Trade. You've got to do what's right to build the strength of your company.' Read Next: , which provides access to a pool of short-term loans backed by residential real estate with just a $100 minimum. Bruvi's BV-01 Coffee Brewer and Biodegradable Pods Have Replaced My Pour-Over
The machine works quickly. It takes five seconds to heat water and brews cups back-to-back in about one minute per cup. After spending many a Christmas morning groggily standing at my mom's Keurig waiting for it to heat up so we can all get our coffee fix, the ability to brew cups in quick succession with the Bruvi is one blessing that I won't take for granted. And finally, because of course, there's a smartphone app. It's pretty simple, with a brew history, descaling alerts, and the ability to quickly order B-Pods. But I liked that you can use the app to schedule or start brewing up to 36 hours in advance. The app mimics the touchscreen on the brewer itself—you can choose from the same settings—and you can schedule it to brew up a cup at a chosen time. I don't find myself using it often since it takes less than two minutes to make myself a cup of coffee, but it's a nice feature that some folks might like. Photograph: Louryn Strampe One thing to note is that once the Bruvi needs to be descaled, you will eventually have to descale it in order to use it. After about 220 B-Pods have been used, the Americano and 1-ounce buttons on the touchscreen will blink. That means you need to descale the machine soon. You can override the alert and brew about 5 more liters (or 20 B-Pods), but afterward the brewer will no longer work until you complete a descaling cycle. That makes sense considering how descaling preserves the machine (and makes your coffee taste better), but if it'll annoy you and you want to run your coffee machine of choice into the ground as is your god-given right, this brewer isn't for you. Another thing to factor in is the price of B-Pods. They can be cheaper with subscriptions or if you buy in bulk, but even on sale, most of the best-selling pods I found factored out to be around a dollar per pod. That's less than the pods for higher-end machines like the xBloom (7/10, WIRED Review) but more expensive than Keurig's K-Cups. But to me, the trade-off for biodegradable pods is worthwhile, and so is the pure speed of this brewing method. The only other annoyance I found is that the drip tray fills up quickly. That's because the Bruvi BV-01 spurts a little bit of water out once you dispose of a B-Pod into the waste bin (which I do after every brew). Of course, the reason for this is to ensure that the needle is clean and that your coffee tastes good, so I can't really be angry about it. All in all, the Bruvi BV-01 is a precise, great-looking brewer that makes a good, strong cup of coffee in under a minute and a half. If you, like me, sometimes just want your caffeine fix without needing to deal with a kettle and a coffee grinder and a coffee filter and goodness knows what else, this is the machine you're looking for. (But you can't have mine because it's staying on my counter. Sorry, Instant Pot, but you've been demoted.)

Ashley Schumacher/BuzzFeed 3. A handled storage basket because nothing says "look at how put together my space is" like a nice basket to hold your blankets, pillows, TV remotes, Kindle, and miscellanea. Walmart Promising review:"This is a very good-sized basket for the price. I was able to get four blankets inside, rolled up, and there's probably still room for another. Perfect for putting in the corner of a room or next to your couch; when someone gets cold, I can pick a blanket up. I love it. I think it's perfect!" — Misty 4. A hanging pendant light with a rattan shade that'll instantly jazz up your space with a touch of whimsy for a SHOCKINGLY low price. Walmart Promising review:"A great and inexpensive way to update your kitchen. Very easy to install and looks really nice. A nice bonus was that they included the light bulb, which isn't all that common anymore." — Daniel 5. A Neutrogena tinted moisturizer with retinol, sunscreen, and the kind of pump that means you can get the exact amount of product you want, so you don't waste a single cent of your new fave makeup product. A crossbody travel bag so you can look like all the cool kids who wear that ever-popular and expensive athleisure brand with an even ~cooler~ price. Walmart Promising reviews:"This little bag holds a lot. Stylish for the price. I like that it has a pocket that fits against your body and a larger one for all your other stuff. I've started wearing it everyday!!!!" — Neesie "I usually try to fit everything in my pockets, but they're usually pretty small. This is hands down the best purchase if you don't like to have a purse when going out." — Alexandra 8. A fade-resistant outdoor throw pillow because nothing says "quiet luxury" like places to sit and be comfy while ~outdoors.~ 9. A pair of sporty sneakers to go with just about everything in your closet. Reviewers LOVE this shoe and often come back for more colors, so you know it's good! Walmart Promising review:"A friend of mine showed me these shoes and I ordered them online immediately! They arrived at my door less than 24 hours later! They are so cute and comfortable. Great value! They fit true to size. I am a size 8, sometimes 8.5, and the size 8 fits perfectly." — Wendy 10. An elegant over-the-toilet shelf with a design that'll make it infinitely easier to maintain dust levels (why are bathrooms always so dusty???) while also looking amazing. Walmart Promising review:"I bought this shelf for my daughter's bathroom. She loves it and it adds a grown-up, chic feel to her bathroom that she has been trying to achieve now that she is older. It was very easy to put together, it came with its own tools and it only took me about 30 minutes. It would be a great addition to anyone's bathroom!" — Walmart customer 11. A Revlon One-Step hair dryer and round brush combo — if you're like me and late to the hot brush party, this one is well worth the price and goes toe-to-toe with That One Big Competitor. I did my research on this, and so many humans prefer this to the more expensive counterpart! TRY IT. It's SO easy to use. Walmart If I can use it, I PROMISE you can do it. I'm hair stupid, but this makes me look hair brilliant. Promising reviews: "I absolutely love this. I blow my hair dry with it, and it works great. I have the big Revlon brush, which I love, but once I cut my hair, it didn't work well, so I purchased this small one. It is perfect." — Linda "Definitely can get your roots straight. Works for naturally curly hair. I didn't need to use a flat iron." — M Price: $31.48 (originally $44.97) 12. A 12-piece stoneware dinnerware set so you can impress all your friends and fam at your next dinner party by not bringing out the chipped mismatched plates you used to use. Walmart The set includes four dinner plates, four bowls, and four salad plates. Also, don't forget to snag some of the fancy gold-toned flatware! Promising review:"My S.O. handles dishes like Thor handles hammers. Our previous set was chipped, and I didn't want to pay furniture store prices just for great style. So I got these because of the style and the price, thinking if they did break, it wouldn't hurt so bad. These have a nice weight to them, and I don't think they will break, even if we tried. The color and finish look great in person as well." — Leslie 13. A whiskey barrel planter that's giving "the gardener was by to tend the plants this morning" even if the gardener was you in your fave gardening clogs. 14. A warm-scented Neutrogena Rainbath shower gel I've used for years because it smells divine and doesn't make my skin feel like a dry lizard in the desert as other shower gels sometimes do. This is a cult-fave for a reason: It's a sophisticated scent that won't clash with your perfume or is perfect all on its own! Walmart Promising reviews:"I love my Neutrogena Rainbath Refreshing Shower Gel, so —the bottle is almost always empty! It has a clean, refreshing scent that doesn't overpower and lathers up quickly and thick. Easy to clean yourself with and leaves no residue. Also love it for shaving my legs in the slower; the razor just glides." — vbc "I have used Neutrogena Rainbath Refreshing Shower Gel for a few years now. I love the way it smells. It smells like being in a spa and makes your skin so soft. The packaging is great, the pump always works well, and I've never had a problem with any of them. Very effective for smelling really good and soft skin. It's a very good value for your money. I will continue to buy this, and I do recommend it." — loria33 15. A bamboo bath mat fitted with rubber stoppers to keep you from slipping and sliding after a rinse-off. If you want your bathroom to feel more sauna and less MEH, this is an easy, quick upgrade that'll have you psyched to step into your space. (Bye-bye, sad old soggy bath mat!) Walmart 16. A collared pajama short set because I have tried the fancy brands and always come back to Joyspun for their comfort and cute prints. It just so happens to be a bonus that they're super easy on the wallet. (Seriously — I have like four of their pajama pants and am now putting a couple of these sets in my own cart for gifts because they look and feel way more expensive than they actually are!) Walmart 17. An artificial eucalyptus arrangement in a blown glass vase to give any room a little luxe (and low maintenance) pick-me-up. Walmart Promising reviews:"Great size to use as shelf decor or on a bathroom counter. The faux eucalyptus looks very much like regular dried eucalyptus. The vase looks higher quality in person than it does in the photo online. I might buy another!" — Lindsey "It really adds a lot to the room, gives the room an earthy feel, and looks authentic. I was so impressed, especially for the price. If you are looking for decor that won't cost a lot, this is an easy choice." — Terry 18. An accent rug if your floor could use a sprucing but without the price tag of those bougie rug companies that keep sending targeted ads your way. It's going to get stepped on anyway, so might as well make it pretty and pretty cheap. Walmart Promising review:"Very good carpet for the price. I got it for $30, and I can't complain; it was a steal at that price. The carpet is soft, and the design brings an authentic look. Similar carpet from other brands is almost double the price." — sandeep 20. An E.l.f. lip oil that will feel nourishing to your lips, your outfit, and your wallet. (Lots of reviewers say they went back for more shades after trying one!) Walmart Promising review:"I've never written a review SO FAST. I have struggled to find the perfect shade for me. Everything I've bought, I've tossed or given away. This shade, Jam Session, is so perfect. I was worried it would be too dark, but it goes on so much lighter than how it looks in the container, which also means it will last me forever — I won't have to use it as much. You have no idea how thrilled I am. And at this price point? Pffft. I'll get a few more to stash here and there. For reference, my lips are typically pretty pale." — Christina 22. A modern wall clock so you can tell what time it is without having to hunt down your phone. (The HEIGHT of luxury, if you ask me.) Walmart Promising review:"Beautiful modern clock. It has a sleek look that blends in with our decor. I love that it ticks quietly. I love the size that was perfect for our stairwell, and it's a reasonable price." — Ames Price: $29.96 23. A velvety-soft plush throw because life is too short to have scratchy blankets with holes in them when you could have a brand new one sent straight to your door. Walmart Promising review:"Thrilled that Walmart restocked these blankets again this season. Bought four of these last season and love them — soft, lightweight, generous size, and specifically the grey stone color, which is a midnight blue, very dark, neutral color. Just bought six more for another place!" — Katie 24. A long-sleeve collared satin blouse that wants to be friends with your work outfits, your casual outfits, and everything in between! Walmart Promising review:"I love the color. I followed the recommended size, and when I got the product, it was too large, but I can still wear the shirt over another blouse. It looks so rich-y and lovely. You can dress it up or dress it down. It looks good either way and feels good on the body and to the touch. The quality is good for the price." — Caroline 25. A stainless-steel self-heating mug so you can make your coffee or tea and not have to GUZZLE IT like a beverage fiend before it gets cold. This handy mug and lil' charging base have three adjustable temperatures, so you can find the ~perfect~ brew for you! Walmart Promising review:"It's a great product! It keeps the beverage hot, and the product design is great. No negative feedback. You simply plug in the base, choose your desired temperature, or take the cup (it has a lid) on the go as it has a warmer in the sealed bottom. It's perfect for any beverage that you want to keep hot." — MM 26. And an electric kettle (from the Drew Barrymore Beautiful line!) for the cups and cups of tea you'll be making to warm your insides and fill your new mug. Walmart Promising review:"I purchased this in black and LOVE it. It heats up quickly, holds plenty and stays hot for a while before it auto shuts off, which is a nice feature. I definitely recommend this kettle, as it not only works, it looks nice since it's used so often that it stays out." — Artis Price: $39.96 (available in seven colors) 27. A gold-tone rolling bar cart because nothing says Gilded Age Fancy like offering someone "a drink from the cart." You'll feel like the Gilmore Girls at Friday night dinners every day of the week with this in your home. Walmart Promising review:"Love this bar cart! I'm always hesitant to buy gold trim items because the gold can sometimes be more of a yellow tone or super shiny. This bar cart has such a beautiful finish, more of a matte finish with a brass tone. I love it. It is also very sturdy, not cheaply made, and the price is a steal compared to other bar carts I have seen. I would definitely recommend this bar cart." — Norma Price: $79.92 28. A Dollar Shave Club unscented shaving butter if it's an "everything shower" kind of day and you want a close shave without smelling like a fruit basket. (And a great product that reviewers say will last you forever!) Walmart Promising review:"This stuff works AMAZING even for the bikini area. Great for us women as well! I only buy Dollar Shave Club products now after trying everything out there." — Patricia Price: $6.97 29. A faux-leather sling bag with pockets for days, so you can squirrel away all the money you saved from getting this bag instead of its more expensive counterpart. Walmart Promising review: " I knew I wanted a sling bag earlier this year, but wasn't sure how big, so I bought a pretty small one from Target. It worked, but I had to stop carrying my sunglasses and other things because it was TINY. This one, conversely, is the PERFECT size, plus it has plenty of pockets to organize things just the way I want them for easy access. The color is gorgeous, and the 'leather' looks nice. So pleased with my purchase!" — Emily Price: $17.99+ (available in 11 colors) 30. A floor lamp, because if you've been to the big furniture stores lately and looked at how much their lamps This one is cute, HAS SHELVES, and is affordable enough that you can get a matching set (or three!) for your home. Walmart Promising review:"This lamp is exactly what I was looking for. Looks exactly as pictured. I put it together all by myself, that's how easy it was to assemble. The only tool you need is a tiny wrench, which is included. It does come with a light bulb, but it was very small and not very bright, so I didn't use it. I put in a brighter LED bulb, and it's perfect." — Michelle Price: $44.95 31. And finally, a tube of Milani Highly Rated Lash Extensions Tubing Mascara that's internet famous for a reason: It works hard for half the price of those other high-end brands. Walmart Promising review:"Stays on perfectly and doesn't flake. Makes my lashes look amazing!! My favorite part is how easy it is to take off at the end of the day. No need for pulling clumps of eyelashes out just to remove the mascara." — Darcy Price: $12.97 Need ingredients for all your new recipes? "He Tried To Substitute This With Vagisil": 21 Times Men On Delivery Apps Proved They Have No Idea How To Grocery Shop
Recently, I wrote about a TikToker's negative experience with her male DoorDash grocery shopper who only got one of her items correct. Not only did this lead her to suggest an app update that would allow customers to select women to shop for them, but it also prompted other women to share the most bizarre replacements they've ever received from male shoppers. 1. "I ordered gluten-free pasta, and the substitute was tampons. Like, for real?!" 3. "I ordered mushrooms. The replacement I received was children's watermelon-flavored toothpaste." 4. "I ordered oat milk, and he replaced it with a massive container of heavy cream. I asked if there were any other plant-based options because I'm lactose intolerant, and he said, 'There's no milk in this; it's cream.' Like, DUDE." — punkistirednotdead 5. "I ordered a bag of tortillas to make lazy girl sopapillas, and I got a head of iceberg lettuce!" 7. "One time, I placed an Instacart order for Imodium and got Dulcolax instead." 8. "Oh lord, I have some stories. I ordered K-Cups and got a five-pound bag of unsalted, unshelled peanuts. I ordered grapes, and the bag was mostly empty as if all the grapes had been picked over. I ordered two pounds of jalapeños (I was going to make poppers). I received a single jalapeño. I asked for lunch meat and got a sandwich spread (it looked like mayo with chunks). I asked for one bag of shredded cheddar and got two bags of mozzarella. My last order was 10 items. I only received two because he said everything was out. I had my boyfriend drive me to that store later in the day, and every item was available if you just looked at it with more than a cursory glance. Literally, all those drivers were men." — thood2254 9. "One time, I ordered two lemons, and my male shopper brought me lemonade and lemon-flavored cough drops." 11. "During the pandemic, I wanted cinnamon rolls REALLY bad. I ordered stuff to make them, and the young guy couldn't find yeast. He tried to substitute it with Vagisil." 13. "I ordered three pounds of Brussels sprouts for Sunday dinner, and he brought me three Brussels sprouts. As in three balls rolling around a veggie bag. I was pissed!" 14. "My last shopper completely negated the point of having a shopper. I have an injured knee, so getting around is extremely painful. I was on my way to my friend's house, but it hurt so much that I didn't want to stop at the dollar store for what I needed (masks, plastic cups, concealer sticks, powder foundation, and Naproxen). So, I placed an Instacart order and sent it to my friend's house. I asked that the makeup be refunded if the exact item couldn't be located, but I asked them to pick the best replacement for the others because I needed them more, and the foundation is useless if it's the wrong color. Well, what does the guy do? REFUND all the items I needed and get me the wrong color of makeup. I had no choice but to go to the fucking store on my busted-up knee, which I was trying to avoid in the first place. Plus, now I have makeup I can't use. Zero stars." — pamelaehn 15. "I ordered cucumbers and got Head & Shoulders shampoo once." 16. "I had an Instacart shopper replace yogurt with a 12-pack of Coke during major abdominal surgery recovery. There was no way I could pick it up, and there was no response when I checked if it was possibly for another order. It's frustrating because not everyone can go shopping for themselves. You rely on others, and when they fail, you have no recourse." — lauragipe23 17. "No, literally. I ordered bacon once, and he got a bag of carrots instead." — starfleetofficer 18. "Last week, I was sick at home, so I placed an order for a bunch of stuff and popsicles. Popsicles were what I wanted most. I picked the store brand, but said substitutions are fine. Any popsicles were welcome. I got the message that they canceled the item. I texted immediately, expressing disbelief and my desperation for popsicles, and immediately got the message he checked out. You can't tell me there were no flavors or brands of popsicles in the entire grocery store." — Amanda 19. "I asked for cumin. Any cumin. I know for a fact the store carries at least four different brands. They came out with nothing. I went to the store the same day, and there it was: all types of cumin." 20. "I work in a grocery store doing this kind of shopping. I have a male coworker who substituted Brussels sprouts for tomatillos. I will never forget this." — Kari 21. "I once ordered hamburger meat, and they stated the store was sold out and substituted it with a box of Hamburger Helper."

This one is very small and takes up very little space but fits a large amount of K-Cups in it. Spins very easily and smoothly and requires enough force that it just doesn't spin when touching it or removing the one you want." — Justin Get it from Amazon for $21.99+ (available in three colors). 3. A tiered organizer that'll save the day, when you're looking for that niche product you use once in a blue moon. Plus it will deffo help maximize your bathroom space. Promising review:"Really researched organizers and felt this was the best constructed with great storage space. Bought one, my husband saw me reorganizing my stuff and asked if he could have one, too. Ordered it, and he reorganized his stuff. He finished and told me it was the first time his bathroom cabinet was organized in 30 years. We LOVE this organizer, it is sturdy, well-made and spacious." — LuckyJ Get it from Amazon for $16.49+ (available in four colors). 4. A mug holder so you and your guests can see all the options because everyone knows your mug design can make or break your day. Choose wisely. This closet system includes six to seven small shelves, two larger shelves, two top rails, 16-19 brackets, four to five 47.5-inch uprights, two 25-inch upright extensions, and one to two hang rods. It works with any reach-in or walk-in closet with at least one wall that's 3 to 8 feet wide. Promising review:"I love this so much! I had a regular closet railing with the hanger racks. After having it fall for the second time, although we used heavy duty toggles, I refused to have my husband put it up again and I did my research. This item was highly rated and I get why; it's amazing. There are so many ways to organize your closet using the system. I have a few racks that I am not able to use and that is okay with me!
