KDK Malaysia Introduces RYOU Series Fans In Conjunction With 115th Anniversary
KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 (Bernama) -- KDK Malaysia, the market in the fan industry, celebrated its 115th anniversary by launching the RYOU Series DC motor ceiling fans, which promise energy efficiency and an elegant design for modern homes. KDK said the RYOU Series offers two choices, namely the four and five blades with luxurious elegant grey and brown finishes, and equipped with DC motor technology that is capable of producing strong wind flow with minimal electricity consumption. "Powered by DC motor technology that is energy-efficient, this series promises strong wind flow with minimum electricity usage - an ideal choice for consumers who prioritise energy savings and environmental sustainability. "For more than a century, KDK has remained committed to improving everyday quality through advanced and energy-efficient fan solutions," KDK said in a statement today. The launch was held at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya from May 20-25, with various interactive activities organised, including a fan demonstration and exclusive prizes for visitors, who were also treated to free coffee as a token of appreciation. KDK chief executive officer Kazumichi Kawasaki officiated the special launch ceremony on May 20. The launch also showcased existing popular models, such as the Sensa Series and Nodoka Series, thus strengthening KDK's position as a leader in DC motor fan technology in the market. "The event not only acknowledges KDK's glorious legacy but also takes a step forward in providing smart and sustainable cooling solutions and comfort for all Malaysians," it added. Established in Japan in 1909, KDK (Kawakita Denki Kigyosha) is recognised as a pioneer in fan and ventilation technology, with over 100 years of engineering expertise, continuing to lead the way in comfort, sustainability and affordability.

Senior citizen gets duped in sim-swap scam
Nagpur: A 50-year-old man was arrested for fraudulently attempting to gain access to a senior citizen's bank account by swapping his SIM card under false pretences. The incident took place in Gittikhadan between Apr 21 & Apr 23. The victim, Muralidhar Gajbhiye , 70, a resident of Dabha, and owner of a celebration hall at Hazaripahad, was approached by accused Sattar Qutubuddin Ansari under the guise of renting the hall. During their interaction, Ansari requested to use Gajbhiye's mobile phone to make a call. Seizing the opportunity, he discreetly removed the original SIM card and replaced it with a fake one before returning the device. Using the stolen SIM card, Ansari visited Canara Bank — where Gajbhiye holds an account — and attempted to update KYC details linked to the phone number. However, the bank manager grew suspicious of Ansari's actions and immediately contacted Gajbhiye for verification. This exposed the fraudulent activity, and a police complaint was filed. Based on the complaint, Gittikhadan police registered a case under BNS and arrested Ansari was arrested, who was remanded to custody. Jewellery worth 2L stolen from house in Nandanvan Nagpur: Gold ornaments worth over Rs2 lakh were stolen from a locked house in near KDK college in Nandanvan while the owner was on a trip to his home in Uttar Pradesh.

Another, "High Debt-Low Fiscal Space—Fiscal Consolidation and Multilateral Solutions to Debt Restructuring," discussed the mechanisms to sustain public finances and tackle debt crises. The session "Monetary Policy and Capital Flows Amid Elevated Uncertainty" discussed the effects of global monetary changes on investment and capital flows in emerging markets. The event also included another session on "Productivity in EMDEs: Challenges and Opportunities," which discussed how to boost productivity for sustainable economic growth. Meanwhile, "Navigating Trade Tensions and Uncertainties" session addressed the risks posed by global trade disputes and their impact on supply chains and economic growth. Additionally, the closing session, "A Path for Emerging Market Resilience, explored strategies to enhance financial stability and create financial systems that can endure crises.
