Fast-growing Asian restaurant chain to open first Minnesota location this spring

Minnesota is getting its first KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot location. The rapidly growing, Maryland-based chain merges the social elements of Asian hot pot and Korean barbecue dining with a fast-casual experience. Its first location in the state will surface at 13601 Grove Dr. in Maple Grove near a Golden Corral, Sherwin-Williams, and Down in the Valley record store, among other businesses. Kpot is slated to open the first week of March, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports. Since its founding in 2018, KPot has expanded quickly. It was the second fastest-growing restaurant brand by sales growth in 2023, according to Technomic Top 500. It only had three open locations in 2020 and was already at 55 by the end of 2023, reports Nation's Restaurant News. Now, the chain has locations in 29 states and plans to open in 11 more states soon. Its site lists a total of 166 locations that are either open or scheduled to open soon.
