Albuquerque Public Schools dedicates mobile library to long-time employee
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Public Schools found an appropriate way to honor a long-time employee and someone who has a special place at KRQE News 13. Mary Bretting-Miller retired in February after working for APS Title 1 for 41 years.

To honor her retirement, the district dedicated a mobile library called Mary's Mobile Book Nook. 'You know this is my joy, so when they said we want to have a party to honor you, I was like no, I feel good about my time with APS…I was humbled and overwhelmed, but they created an opportunity for me to continue the work that I love,' said Bretting-Miller.
Bretting-Miller also helped KRQE start Story Time in the Park. On Monday, Bretting-Miller will be able to go to the shelters, read to children and families, and also talk about the importance of early reading.
