State aims to complete 100 tourism projects this yr
T'puram: Tourism minister P A Mohamed Riyas chaired a meeting on Tuesday in which it was decided that state govt would try to complete around 100 tourism projects this directed the officials to set an accurate time frame for the completion of the current projects and follow up on each phase of them in a systematic and time-bound meeting also decided to bring out an advanced event calendar of Kerala tourism's flagship programmes like Onam celebration, Champions Boat League, New Year lighting and Beypore Fest."A dedicated system will be set up to evaluate progress of the projects approved by the Centre as per the suggestions of state govt. An order was issued for the implementation of more projects that came up at the Tourism Investors Meet ," the minister meeting also approved an action plan for developing WE-Parks across the state, utilizing spaces under over-bridges. Kerala Tourism Infrastructure Ltd (KTIL) will take up construction of these parks.
