The Economic Benefits of Paying Workers to Move
When Kagan Conaway saw an Instagram ad offering remote workers $10,000 to move to Tulsa, Oklahoma, she thought it was a scam. The Indiana native had just returned to her home state after living in Wisconsin and was looking for a change. She'd never even been to Oklahoma.
Conaway, 25, was accepted into Tulsa's program and moved in July 2024 after a visit. 'I fell in love with the city after just a few days,' she said.
