Fake cops busted: 4 arrested over Semenyih house robberies
SEPANG: Four men have been arrested for impersonating police officers to break into homes and commit theft.
The suspects are believed to be the same individuals involved in a robbery in Semenyih earlier this month, which went viral on social media.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the suspects, aged between 33 and 38, were apprehended on May 24 in Dengkil, Bukit Puchong, and Bukit Raja by Selangor and Kajang Criminal Investigation Department's D9 units.
"Following the arrests, we managed to seize a yellow Perodua Myvi, three mobile phones, and clothing believed to have been worn during the robbery," he told reporters today.
He added that the suspects have so far been linked to three similar cases in Semenyih.
