Amitabh Bachchan answers why he doesn't praise Aishwarya Rai, Jaya Bachchan in public: ‘Shall praise them in my heart'

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan usually stays away from trolls and refrains from responding to them. However, when he recently showered praise on his son Abhishek Bachchan after the trailer of the film Kalidhar Laapata was released, a troll questioned his selectiveness on Facebook. They asked Bachchan why he neglects to publicly hail the achievements of his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, as well as his wife, veteran actor Jaya Bachchan. Amitabh didn't shy away from taking the troll head-on. He responded to the question, saying, 'Yes, I praise Abhishek. So?' He added, 'Yes I shall praise them in my heart… not publicly… respect for the ladies.' Though Big B gave a sharp response, he kept his tone respectful, leading fans to praise the actor. Another troll tried to shame Amitabh Bachchan's fans who gather outside Jalsa and called them unemployed. He responded, 'So give them a job? When they stand at the fan meeting on the gate of Jalsa, they are EMPLOYED in love.' He also clapped back at a troll who called his fans 'paid.' Big B responded with a befitting reply and wrote, 'Prove it! You are small-minded… why don't you pay and get your fans too.' In the past day, Bachchan has shared and reshared many posts showcasing the trailer of Kalidhar Laapata. In one post, Big B praised Abhishek for choosing diverse roles. He wrote, 'Keep at it Bhaiyu .. the diverse roles and films you choose are your USP .. and it shall pay 🙏.' In another post, he wrote, 'Blessed to have you my Son .. keep at it .. राह पकड़ तू एक चला चल पा जायेगा मधुशाला !!!!' Abhishek was recently seen in the multi-starrer Housefull 5. The film had an average box office run. Before Housefull 5's success, Abhishek had seen back-to-back box office failures. His film Be Happy was released on Prime Video but failed to get good reviews from critics. His other film, I Want to Talk, was also a box office failure. Aishwarya was last seen on the big screen in 2023's Ponniyin Selvan: II. Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, was last seen in the Tamil film Vettaiyan, alongside Rajinikanth.
