According to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday, India reported 3,395 active COVID-19 cases. As many as 685 more COVID-19 cases were reported in a day. In view of the COVID-19 situation in the state and the reopening of schools, Karnataka government has asked parents not to send their children to school, if they have fever, cough, cold and other symptoms. COVID death in Maharashtra: Kalyan-Dombivli reports second covid-19 death of unvaccinated citizen, authorities urge caution but... A new COVID-19 case and one death have been reported by the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) in Thane district on Wednesday. According to a statement from the health department, there are currently eight people infected with COVID-19 in areas under KDMC. Out of them, two are being treated in hospitals. Sadly, a 67-year-old man from Dombivli, who had been admitted to Kalwa Government Hospital on May 25, passed away on Wednesday. Officials shared that the man had existing health issues like high blood pressure and diabetes. He also hadn't received a COVID-19 vaccine. This is the second COVID-related death reported in the KDMC area in the last few days, the previous one happened on May 22. Authorities have readied isolation wards and issued advisories urging mask usage among high-risk individuals, alongside basic hygiene and distancing measures.
