Lakeview tops St. Joseph Academy in softball
CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Lakeview softball topped St. Joseph Academy 15-5 as part of the Strikeout Cancer event held at McCune Park.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning before adding on another six runs in the next two innings.
Ava Bacon tossed 5 innings, allowed 3 earned runs and struck out 7 batters.
The Bulldogs top two hitters in their order – Kalyssa Werner and Kennedy Bartlett – both finished with 3 hits and scored 3 runs apiece. Isabella Isenberg homered and drove in 2 runs. Hallie Capan finished with a double and a single, as well as 3 RBIs.
Later, the Bulldogs are matched against Marlington at 1 p.m.
