Karen Bilowith spoke about the organization's mission to inspire, engage and empower donors and communities making an impact in our region.
She added that it's impossible to know how the region will evolve and what its future needs will be, but said the community foundation is committed to supporting those needs.
Bilowith hopes individuals will continue to give to their community… Especially as we enter a time of tremendous transfer of wealth from baby boomers to the next generation.

'It's really the individual donors throughout the community, 500 nonprofits, 10,000 donors on Erie Gives Day, they all come together and collectively make a difference and we really need to be able to leverage that so we can continue to do work over the next decade or decades,' she said.
Bilowith said the organization aims to raise 100 million dollars for the community over the next ten years.
