EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley has shared new photos of her incredible five stone weight loss as she speaks out on her recent health kick. The TV star, 48, played much-loved Karen Taylor on the BBC soap until she left Walford for good in July 2023 when her character was written out of the series. In the months since she has embarked on a lifestyle change, and this week shared a new Instagram photo as she proudly showed off her slimmer frame. Sharing a snap from a recent event, Lorraine looked gorgeous in a green and pink print co-ord. Taking to her Instagram story to upload the same image posted onto her main feed, she also revealed a new milestone in her lifestyle overhaul, telling fans: "I'm five months sober and still had a good night dancing! #Sobriety." Lorraine's former co-stars rushed to the comments to praise the actress, with Diane Parish, who plays Denise in EastEnders, writing: 'You look incredible!' She admitted her struggle to manage the equipment and told fans how Zack Morris - who played her on-screen son Keegan Baker - gave her a few very useful tips on how to create an authentic setting. Zack leads the cast of Disney+'s Goosebumps as Isaiah Howard, as he continues his career in the US. 'Self tape setup in the loft, I'm so not technical but I'm proud I've managed to set it up all by myself with advice on equipment by @_zack_morris,' she captioned. AN EastEnders favourite has been axed after eight years on the soap - bringing an end to one of the show's most high-profile families. Actress Clair Norris - who plays Bernie Taylor in the BBC soap - will be leaving later this year in a dramatic storyline. 3 3 The star has played Bernie, the daughter of controversial Karen Taylor, since the family made their debut in 2017. A source said: 'Every time a soap gets a new boss they want to make their own changes - it's nothing personal. 'The writing has been on the wall for Bernie for some time so it wasn't really a surprise to Clair. 'She was the last Taylor standing and it's time to close the chapter on them and let Clair go on to do other things.' Another insider said: 'Everyone at EastEnders loves Clair but often characters have to leave for new stories to begin, that's the nature of soap. 'Clair will be missed but she will always be part of the EastEnders family.' An EastEnders spokeswoman confirmed the news saying: 'We can confirm that Clair will be leaving EastEnders later this year and we wish her all the best for the future.' With Clair gone, and Felix actor Matthew Morrison also leaving soon as The Sun previously revealed, all traces of the controversial family will be gone. Karen Taylor left last year alongside Mitch and their grandchildren Mia and Mackenzie. Son Keanu was killed off in 2023 in The Six plot, daughter Chantelle was murdered by husband Gray Atkins in 2020, and son Keegan moved to Germany in 2022. Cliff Parisi - Parisi returned as Minty Peterson, a character who was last seen on the square in 2010. Ross Kemp - Kemp has returned to play Grant Mitchell, a character he first played in 1990. The BBC has described Kemp's storyline as "explosive". Kemp said it was an "absolute honour" to return to the show. Other aspects of the EastEnders 40th anniversary celebration include: A wedding between fan favorites, A huge explosion at the Queen Vic, and A live interactive episode. Actor Jake Wood is returning to the show as Max Branning after a four year absence. The BBC also accidentally leaked a major spoiler earlier this week that has shown the Queen Vic being put up to auction just weeks after it was rebuilt and reopened after the February explosion.

The actress, who played one of Walford's matriarchs from 2017 to 2024, told fans about her work strife on social media. 4 4 Lorraine Stanley, who portrayed Karen Taylor, was written out of the show in 2023 as part of a shock cast shake-up. The soap star, 48, has been brutally honest about how hard it has been finding work since being axed from the show. She shared a funny photo on her Instagram Stories wearing oversized glasses and pulling a humorous face. The star wrote alongside it: "I didn't get the job, but at least I still got my good looks and sense of humour.
