Al Duhail and Al Rayyan advance to Amir Cup 2025 quarterfinals
On 5 May 2025, the second round of the Round of 16 matches were played between Al Duhail & Al Sailiya at the Khalifa International Stadium and Al Rayyan & Lusail at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.
Al Duhail defeated Al Sailiya and Al Rayyan defeated Lusail with the same score of 4 - 2.

Al Duhail SC qualified for the quarter-finals of the 53rd H.H. the Amir Cup after defeating second division champions Al Sailiya 4-2 in the Round of 16 at Khalifa International Stadium.
Frenchman Benjamin Bourigeaud, Karim Boudiaf, and Kenyan Michael Olunga scored twice in the 26th, 30th, 36th, and 42nd minutes, while Algerian Mohamed Benyettou scored Al Sailiya's double in the 58th and 79th minutes (a penalty kick).

The first goal for Al Rayyan was scored by Mohammed surag in the first half of the match. Roger Guedes scored the second goal for Al Rayyan in the 53rd minute and Julian De Sart scored the third goal in the 79th minute. The extra time of the match witnessed the 4th goal for Al Rayyan by Adam Bareiro.
The two goals for Lusail were scored in the first half of the match, both by Balla Sangare.
