Siddaramaiah is mentally ill to have made anti-war statement, says Govind Karjol

'Chief Minister Siddaramaiah seems to be mentally ill. His anti-war statement can come only from a person who is mentally imbalanced,' BJP MP Govind Karjol said in Bagalkot on Sunday. 'Does he not know that only Hindus were targeted in the terror attack in Pahalgam? They did not just shoot the victims down. They asked them pointed questions about their faith and chose them after checking their gender by stripping them naked,' Mr. Karjol told reporters. 'In such a situation, our Chief Minister is going around saying that there should be no war with Pakistan. It is highly condemnable. What could be more shameful for a Chief Minister of a State?' Mr. Karjol said. Mr. Karjol also condemned a statement by Minister R.B. Thimmapur who expressed doubts about the terrorists choosing Hindu victims and shooting them down in Pahalgam. 'The terrorists did not just shoot the victims down. They asked them pointed questions about their faith and chose them after checking their gender by stripping them naked.'Govind Karjol,BJP MLA Mr. Karjol suspected Mr. Siddaramaiah's intentions in raising the issue of caste census as he fears losing power. 'He was silent for two years and now, when he sees that the chair is shaky, he has started playing such gimmicks. He really has no social concern. By using the caste census, the Chief Minister has divided Veerashaiva and Lingayats into small caste groups. Similarly, the Vokkaligas and the Hindutva castes have also been divided. But Muslims who have several sub-castes have not been divided. Why was it not done? It has been done on the instruction of Mr. Siddaramaiah,' Mr. Karjol said. 'I would have advised the Chief Minister to divide the population into rich and poor. The survey should also divide Muslims into sub-castes like Barber Muslims, Bangi Muslims, Mochi Muslims, Chappal Bandh Muslims, Nadaf, Pinjar, among others. The caste census has not done any justice to any caste. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been trying to do justice to all castes. He is also trying to develop the backward Pasmanda Muslims. The Prime Minister is not doing this for vote bank,' Mr. Karjol said.
