Cleared for takeoff: Juan Soto flies on Mets plane, contrary to chatter

BOSTON — Yes, Juan Soto flies on the team plane with the rest of his teammates, multiple New York Mets team sources confirmed on Monday, refuting a misinterpretation from WFAN morning host Boomer Esiason. On Sunday night's ESPN broadcast of the Mets' rubber game with the Yankees, play-by-play announcer Karl Ravech referred to the ancillary perks in Soto's $765 million contract with the Mets, which include the team assisting Soto's family with travel to road games. Esiason interpreted this to mean that Soto himself travels separately from the club, which is not the case. Advertisement Soto's tepid start with the Mets — he owns an .822 OPS but has struggled with runners in scoring position — has inspired plenty of body language interpretation, especially over the weekend during his return to the Bronx. Soto has explained why the 'Soto Shuffle' has been absent from his repertoire early in the season, and why he's spent time chilling in the bullpen with relievers. Inside the Mets clubhouse, there hasn't been any concern about how Soto is fitting in during the first year of his 15-year deal with New York. (Top photo of Juan Soto: Al Bello / Getty Images)

Betting odds for Florida basketball vs Missouri Tigers in SEC Tournament Quarterfinals

Betting odds for Florida basketball vs Missouri Tigers in SEC Tournament Quarterfinals The SEC Tournament men's basketball quarterfinals will be played on Friday night, including a matchup between the second-seeded Florida Gators and the seventh-seeded Missouri Tigers at Bridgestone Arena. With several hours remaining until the opening tipoff, here is a look at the latest betting odds from BetMGM for the evening's hoops action. Florida earned a double-bye with its near-top seeding and plays its first tournament game, while Mizzou already earned an 85-73 win over the No. 10 Mississippi State Bulldogs in the second round on Thursday night, earning the privilege of playing the Gators. The Tigers won the only regular-season meeting between the two programs on Jan. 15 inside the O'Connell Center, sneaking by Todd Golden's team by a final score of 83-82. It was the only loss of the season for the Orange and Blue on its home court. Now without further ado, here is a look at the latest betting odds from BetMGM for the Florida-Missouri matchup. Florida vs Missouri game odds: All college football odds via BetMGM as of 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Spread: 9.5 (Florida) Money Line: +360 / -475 Over-Under: 162.5 Florida vs Missouri prediction, pick: I would not go so far as to say that Mizzou's win in Gainesville was a fluke — this is a good team that fought tooth and nail in one of the toughest environments to play in. But this Gators team has become much more refined and has shown much greater depth than what was seen two months ago. With a top seed in the NCAA Tournament on the line, Todd Golden will not be holding back anytime soon. Prediction: Florida 85, Missouri 75 Florida vs Missouri channel, start time, streaming: Start time: 7 p.m. ET TV Channel: SEC Network Livestream: Fubo (free trial) Florida vs Missouri will broadcast nationally on the SEC Network on Friday, March 14. How to watch Florida vs Missouri today: Time, TV channel for SEC Tournament Florida basketball opens up its SEC Tournament play in the quarterfinals against the Missouri Tigers at Bridgestone Arena on Friday night. If you want to watch this postseason rematch between two conference foes on TV or live stream, look below for all you need to know. The Gators are the No. 2 seed in the tournament, allowing them to skip the first two rounds with a double-bye. Mizzou came in as a No. 7 seed, allowing them to bypass the opening round but needed an 85-73 win over the No. 10 Mississippi State Bulldogs in the second round to match them up with the Orange and Blue. How to watch Auburn vs Alabama today: Time, TV channel for Saturday

The No. 1 Auburn Tigers host No. 8 Alabama on Saturday at Neville Arena to close out the regular season. Saturday's game between Auburn (27-3, 15-2 SEC) and Alabama (23-7, 12-5 SEC) will be the second of the season. Six Tigers reached double-figures in points during the Feb. 15 game in Tuscaloosa, led by Johni Broome's 19-point outing. Auburn connected on 46% of their shots while limiting Alabama to 5-of-26 from three-point territory. Since then, Auburn is 4-1 with its lone loss coming Tuesday at Texas A&M. Auburn outshot Texas A&M 50% to 43% in the game, but the wide rebound margin favoring the Aggies ultimately decided the game. As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide is 2-3 since falling to Auburn last month, with losses to Missouri, Tennessee, and Florida. Alabama is riding a two-game losing streak into Saturday's game, which ties a season-high. Here's how you can watch Saturday's blockbuster tilt between No. 1 Auburn and No. 8 Alabama.
