Shashtra Museum & Research Center inaugurated

Varanasi: Maharashtra's deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday inaugurated the Shashtra (Scripture) Museum and Research Centre at the Dharmasangh auditorium, Shri Swami Karpatri Ji Maharaj Ashram, Shri Dharmasangh Math Temple, Durgakund. The centre aims to preserve, digitise, and disseminate India's ancient textual heritage to society with the help of modern technology. Speaking on the occasion, Shinde said that he felt connected to the ancient knowledge tradition through this programme. He stated that the institution of Dharmasangh is not just a temple but a symbol of Indian culture and unity representing the Sanatan culture and lifestyle. Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary aspect, Shinde said that he has given the message of development and heritage. "Our country is on the path to become a world leader with both weaponry and scriptural wealth. For this, the govt and the society must work hand in hand," he said, adding that Sanatan Hinduism, imbued with the spirit of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,' a foundation for building an inclusive society. Uttar Pradesh AYUSH minister Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu' said that the museum for scriptures will attract people in the coming days. The founder Sanatani Ramanand Tiwari said that self-knowledge is possible only by connecting with the scriptures. The President of the Centre Bhujang Bobde said Kashi is a major centre for the pursuit of knowledge. Shinde also inaugurated an exhibition of ancient texts and books.
