AAP outlines 13-point agenda for 2027 UP Assembly polls

1 2 Lucknow: To prepare for the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh , the Aam Aadmi Party has devised a 13-point agenda on which it will work in the coming months. At a party workers' meeting held in Lucknow on Saturday, senior party member Dilip Pandey outlined the agenda, which emphasises the party's commitment to constitutional values such as social justice, secularism, transparency, public participation, and integrity. The agenda, on which the party will be carrying out protests and seeking answers from the govt, includes rising electricity bills in the state, private school mafia, poor state of healthcare services, investigation of Kumbh stampede under the supervision of a retired high court judge and injustice towards backward classes, Dalits, minorities, and tribals. It will also highlight increasing crimes against women and overall crime rate, uncontrolled unemployment in the country and UP, inflation, ineffectiveness of local representatives, corruption in the UP govt, neglect of farmers' interests by the UP govt, the struggle against the new Waqf law, and the OBC reservation scam in UP. Rajya Sabha MP and party in-charge Sanjay Singh, while addressing the 'UP Ki Baat, Karyakartaon Ke Saath' conference, outlined the AAP 's organisational development plan for UP over the next few months. The party has not contested any election in the state in the past two years and is working to contest at least 60-80 seats in the 2027 assembly polls.
