Annie Knight's mum reveals what she REALLY thought of daughter's X-rated career when she learned about it in the news: 'What the hell is going on?'

Annie Knight, who has been dubbed ' Australia's most sexually active woman ', has finally revealed what her mother Karyn did when she first learned her daughter was an OnlyFans star. Annie rose to national fame by setting herself the arduous task of sleeping with 365 men in the space of one year. More recently, the blonde made global headlines when she was admitted to hospital after a sex challenge during which she slept with 583 men in a single day. In the new TV series, titled Annie Knight - Travels With My Mother, Annie's mum opened up about the 'confusing' moment she first discovered what her daughter was doing for work. 'I remember turning on my phone and seeing a news article and thinking, "that's my daughter"' Karyn said. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She was confused as to why her daughter was featured in a mainstream publication. 'I was so confused, and I didn't know what OnlyFans was. Then I read the story a bit more and thought, "Woah, what the hell is going on"' Karyn said. Speaking on Annie's Unhinged podcast in April, Karyn described her reaction as 'a bit of a panic attack.' She did not speak to her daughter for two weeks after reading the article. The mum said she was concerned for Annie's safety, and also wondered why she hadn't felt she could tell her the truth because the pair otherwise had a close relationship. She was also worried about what her daughter's future would look like. Annie and her mum spent a good portion of last year trotting the globe on Annie's dime, with the 28-year-old telling Daily Mail Australia that her life would make 'the best reality television.' Forget Love Island, The Bachelor, FBoy Island, Love is Blind and Too Hot to Handle, Annie said she was determined to star in something original. 'I'm not looking to be on an existing reality show, I think my mum and I should have our own reality show,' Annie said. 'We're hilarious.' Annie, who boasts 250,000 followers on Instagram and another 95,000 on TikTok, was determined to create and star in an Australian-made series about her high-flying travels with her mother, and her family's unique approach to her chosen career. In an episode of the self-published series for OFTV, Annie confessed she was 'angry' with her mum for not telling her when she first found out the secret. 'I was angry you didn't contact me straight away,' she told Karyn. 'You told my stepdad, and then he messaged me. 'You didn't want to talk to me for two weeks after that, I think it took you a while to fully accept it. You didn't want to hear about it at the start.' Annie's name dominated headlines for months in 2024, largely thanks to her association with UK porn star Bonnie Blue and the duo's Schoolies stunt in Fiji, and she has always maintained that her parents are supportive of her career choice. 'Now it's completely different,' Annie explained. 'A lot of people comment on my Instagram posts, and they're like, "What would your mother say about this?" Or, you know, "Your mother must be proud". 'It's like, well, actually, yeah, she's pretty proud.' Karyn added that her natural instinct, in the beginning, was to 'fight back' against negative publicity in the comments section. But she said it 'didn't take long' for her to realise that responding is 'not what you do' to put out a raging comment section fire. The OnlyFans creator, who's based between Melbourne and the Gold Coast, claims to be in the top 0.02 per cent of earners on the adult platform after five years in the business. Last week, Annie said she has 'no regrets' about sleeping with 583 men in a single day because it meant she could splash out $600,000 on her 'dream home.' The aspiring property mogul owns an additional three properties in various Australian cities. But in a particularly heartwarming moment with her mother, she said the best thing her money can buy is 'being able to give back' to her parents. 'Because you did so much for me growing up,' a teary Annie told her mum. 'You raised me to be who I am today. I'm so grateful for you,' with Karyn telling her she is 'So proud.'
