Westville, N.S. woman charged with alleged drug trafficking

A Westville, N.S., woman is facing drug trafficking charges after police searched a home in the community.
The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) executed a search warrant at a home on MacKay Street on June 18 as part of an ongoing investigation.
Officers arrested a 41-year-old woman and seized a quantity of cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, 900 pills believed to be various illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia, a news release said.
Kathy Dawn Stanton was charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
She was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Pictou provincial court on Sept. 22.
