PlayStation Plus June 2025 games announced early by Sony: See the full lineup
Sony has revealed June's PlayStation Plus Essential titles a day ahead of schedule, and leading the lineup is the visually impressive NBA 2K25. Available to download starting June 3, the latest installment of the popular basketball sim promises stunning graphics, smooth gameplay, and all the high-stakes action fans have come to expect from the franchise. In addition to the headliner game, Alone in the Dark, which is a survival horror remake that made its debut in 2024, will also join the lineup. The game will include performances from the likes of Stranger Things actor David Harbour and Killing Eve star Jodie Comer. The third game announced by Sony to join the lineup for this June is Bomb Rush Cyberfun, which will release on June 3. The game will be available on both PS4 and PS5. With its bold visuals and energetic style, the cel-shaded action game echoes the spirit of Jet Set Radio. Sony explained, 'Start your own cypher and dance, paint graffiti, collect beats, combo your tricks and face off with the cops to stake your claim to the sprawling metropolis of New Amsterdam.' The company added, 'Red is a graffiti writer who lost his head and instead has an cyberhead. In search of his roots he joins the Bomb Rush Crew, Tryce and Bel, who are aiming to go All City. Together they slowly discover who it was that cut off his head and how deep Red's human side is linked to the graffiti world,' as reported by Daily Express. In a surprise bonus, the highly anticipated Destiny 2: The Final Shape DLC will be available as a free download starting May 28. Alongside this, additional titles are being added to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers. This will include game titles like GTA 3 Definitive Edition and Skull and Bones on PS Plus Extra. Meanwhile, Myst and sequel Riven will be available on Premium. The good deal does not stop here as those with Extra subscription will also be able to enjoy Another Crab's Treasure from May 29 and Destiny 2: The Legacy Collection on June 4.

Musician Katie Greenwood Ross Passes Away After Battling Breast Cancer

Musician and Thistle Thistle founder Katie Greenwood Ross has passed away following her fight with breast cancer. The news of her death was shared on her Instagram page, where a heartfelt message confirmed her passing. It was likely written by her partner, Spain. 'Katie passed last night. The last two weeks have been filled to the brim with love and laughing and stories and tears while surrounded by her closest friends and family members. We spent a week at home in our bed with our dogs, and eventually moved to the Hope Hospice Center in Providence to better manage her pain and symptoms," the Instagram post said. 'When the cancer didn't respond to treatment and doctors recommended going home, it seemed like a weight had been lifted off Katie. She said she felt fulfilled, and loved, and that she had lived a full life. She accepted it, and showed me a grace and gratefulness that I could never imagine anyone having. The last few days at hospice she was sedated for comfort and quietly left us just before 11pm," it added. The post also shared how deeply Katie touched the lives of people around her. It mentioned that the beautiful community she created will always stay connected through the warmth and kindness she showed to everyone she met. To honour her memory, a special celebration of her life will take place in October on her birthday. It will be held as a gallery showcasing her artwork and moments from her life. There will also be a permanent spot at a local cemetery where people can visit and remember her. The post added, 'She expressed that I continue Thistle Thistle, and it will continue in one form or another. I feel that everyone should have an opportunity to carry a piece of her with them in their daily lives. Your support has brought us so much comfort and stability in our lives and I am forever grateful to all of you for the opportunity to see her and her art thrive to a point we only daydreamed it could reach." An obituary for Ross says, 'Her work was deeply rooted in themes of power, protection, and ancestral connections, reflecting her profound appreciation for the sacred and the beautiful. Operating from her Providence studio, Katie's creations were more than just art; they were expressions of her soul and invitations for others to find magic in the everyday." Ross was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in early 2024, according to her obituary. As she concentrated on her treatment, her business had to take a break.
