New Panthers' player catches everyone's attention with praise for veteran
In the heart of west Charlotte, while swinging hammers and hauling lumber, Christian Rozeboom wasn't just building homes—he was helping build hope. The Carolina Panthers linebacker, newly arrived this offseason, spent part of his Keep Pounding Day lending a hand in Habitat for Humanity's mission, a gesture that mirrors the grit and humility that brought him to the NFL in the first place. Rozeboom, a former undrafted free agent out of South Dakota State, understands what it means to fight for a roster spot. And while he's only been a Panther for a few weeks, there's one teammate he's always kept an eye on: veteran receiver Adam Thielen. 'I mean just unreal story that you could talk about for a long time too… I think just how you treat people and I see that already just meeting Adam for two weeks now—how he treats people is in seconds and getting to know everybody around and it's been really cool to see.' To Rozeboom, that stat line is just part of what makes Thielen stand out. It's the off-field presence, the quiet leadership, and the way he greets every trainer, coach, and teammate that truly resonates. That mindset has not only kept Rozeboom in the league, but is now helping him shape the Panthers locker room and the Charlotte community alike. Panthers WR Adam Thielen uncertain of playing future beyond 2025 season
Panthers WR Adam Thielen uncertain of playing future beyond 2025 season Once again, the upcoming season could be the last for Carolina Panthers receiver Adam Thielen. On Friday, the 34-year-old wideout caught up with reporters from the parking lot of a Charlotte K-8 school—one of the site's of this year's "Keep Pounding Day." And when he wasn't busy washing cars, Thielen was chatting about ball—and his future within it. "It could be, yeah," Thielen replied when asked if he may be entering his final NFL campaign. "I told you guys at the end of the season, like every year, you look back and you say, 'Hey, what left do I have to give to this game?' I talked to my family, and they wanted me to keep playing. So it'll be the same process. "Not gonna think about that right now. I'm gonna focus on being the best football player I can possibly be, and you have to have that mindset in this league. And then once the season's over—evaluate, see where we're at, see where the team's at, see where I'm at individually and as a family. But definitely, definitely winding down my career." Thielen took some time at the end of the 2024 season to evaluate, and ultimately came to the decision to keep on going. As a nice little bonus, the Panthers bumped the two-time Pro Bowler's pay up for the third and final year of his contract. Despite missing seven games due to a hamstring injury, Thielen still amassed 48 receptions for 615 yards and five touchdowns this past year. He will turn 36 years old in August.
