Woman with warrants caught after chase in Wichita Falls
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Wichita Falls police officers arrested a woman with two warrants out of Wise County after a short car chase on Monday, April 7.
Kelcee Danielle Derrick is charged with evading arrest, evading arrest with a vehicle, reckless driving, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

On Monday, just before 11 a.m., Wichita Falls police attempted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Indiana Avenue.
Police said they identified Derrick before the stop, who had a confirmed warrant for aggravated assault in Wise County.
When officers turned on their overhead emergency lights, authorities said Derrick began to speed off, reaching 75 miles per hour through the downtown area, where some speed limits are 30 miles per hour.
Police said the chase continued for about a minute and a half before they were advised to stop it for public safety.
Officers said they found Derrick trying to return to her apartment a short time later.
Her bonds for the four charges in Wichita Falls total $21,000, while her bonds in Wise County for aggravated assault and evading arrest total $90,000.
