Final Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament preparations underway in Morehead City
MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WNCT) — Final preparations are underway for the 67th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City.
Crews along the Morehead City waterfront are putting together the finishing touches in preparation for the thousands expected to arrive on Monday, June 9.
The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament is always an exciting time here in Morehead City during the week of June 6-15, 2025, alongside the ladies-only event, the Keli Wagner Lady Angler Tournament, taking place this weekend on Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8.
Friday, June 6, is really the start to the busy week with the KWLA hosting their kickoff party at the Crystal Coast Civic Center.
Many people are already stocking up on merch at the Big Rock Gift Shop near Big Rock Landing. They have everything from hats, cups, souvenirs, and of course the special deigned t-shirts.
If you want to purchase your own official merch for the 67th Big Rock Tournament, the gift shop is open all during the tournament from 9am-9pm, and then on Sunday from 9am-4pm.
