EastEnders fans in uproar after bungling BBC lets slip huge Queen Vic spoiler months before it appears on screens

EASTENDERS fans are in uproar after the bungling BBC let slip a huge Queen Vic spoiler months before it is due to appear on screen. This comes as former Strictly Come Dancing star Jake Wood will return to the soap in his role as Max Branning. 6 6 6 EastEnders took to the official social media account on TikTok with a new behind the scenes video featuring some of the stars. A clip on social media shows the actors that play Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) and his on-screen mother Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington). The actresses that play Avani (Aaliyah James) and Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) were also on set in front of the Vic. However, fans have noticed that a sign that was placed on the door of the Vic, indicating that the infamous boozer would up for sale in an upcoming plot. One fan took to the Walford Web fan forum as they wrote: "Rumours that the Vic could be up for sale based on the latest TikTok." Fans couldn't help but flood the comments section with remarks, as they think this could have something to do with Max Branning's return. Many also hated the idea that Linda (Kellie Bright) and Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) will no longer be behind the bar. Another fan posted: "Yeah, definitely looks like The Vic up for sale. Max back taking over The Vic." While a third commented: "Coming in and immediately throwing the Carter-Knights out of The Vic ain't gonna earn Wadey any brownie points with me." "I love Linda in The Vic though. It just suits her," angrily stated a fourth user. EastEnders win TV Bafta for the first time in six years after Emmerdale was forced to withdraw While someone else noted: "Max isn't a publican, he's a used car salesman. Not every character can just be plonked into The Vic and work. Linda and Elaine were literally made for The Vic." And a fifth fumed: Oh gawd please NOT bloody Max in the Vic!! What the f*** is the point in anyone else taking over right now when the Knights have only just had it rebuilt and moved back in? They added: "I'm fine with Linda leaving it behind and moving out with the young kids, in fact i'd welcome it, but we don't need completely new owners." This comes after The Sun on Sunday revealed that Jake Wood is making a shock return later this year. EastEnders stars who QUIT MICHELLE Collins has seen her second EastEnders stint boost her bank balance. Yet what stars have quit this year? The Sun exclusively reported how Michelle, 62, was down to £20,000 in her company accounts when she agreed to a shock back-from-the-dead return to Albert Square last year. Her character, Cindy Beale, was presumed dead off-camera in 1998. Yet what about the 2024 exits? Earlier this summer, loyal soap fans appeared to note how Stevie Mitchell had "quit" the long-running series. It came after Alan Ford enjoyed just six-months on-screen. Bobby Beale actor Clay Milner Russell also left this year after five years in Walford. Fans also feared Martin Fowler actor James Bye would "quit out of boredom" over recent storylines. Additionally, a host of stars have quit the BBC soap for Hollywood fame. One of the most successful stars to come from the BBC One soap is Rob Kazinsky. He played Stacey Slater's brother Sean Slater from 2006 to 2009, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel. Ben Hardy, who quit EastEnders as Bobby Beale almost a decade ago, went on to break Hollywood the following year, when he starred as Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse. Since then, he has played Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and he starred in Michael Bay 's Netflix movie 6 Underground. Michelle Ryan played Zoe Slater until 2005. She starred as the lead in short-lived American series Bionic Woman from 2007 to 2008. He initially quit the long-running serial drama in 2021 after 15 years to focus on other projects. The comeback of Max coincides with the departure of his former on-screen lover Stacey Slater, played by Lacey Turner. A telly source said: "Jake's return is huge news for EastEnders fans as his character made a massive mark on the show. "It'll raise some eyebrows after he was absent from the 40th anniversary earlier this year. Bosses are excited about what his character's reappearance means for spicing up the plots. "There is plenty to go at. Max has loads of unfinished business in the Square and is set to ruffle some feathers." 6 6 6

EastEnders accidentally drops MAJOR Linda Carter spoiler months before it hits screens in now-deleted post

EastEnders accidentally dropped a major Linda Carter spoiler months before it is supposed to hit our screens in a now-deleted post. The businesswoman - played by Kellie Bright in the BBC soap - is the current landlady of the iconic Queen Vic in Albert Square, alongside her mum Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe). Linda and her ex husband Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) took over as owners of the boozer from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in 2013. The former couple were owners until 2017, then property company Grafton Hill took over for one year, but the pair returned to the doors in 2018. Between 2020 and 2022, Sharon Watts was landlady, but Linda has been owner again for the past three years. However this might all be changing very soon. An eagle-eyed fan shared a screen grab one of the show's recent TikTok posts and wrote on discussion website Reddit: 'EastEnders just released a video on TikTok, and there's an Auction sign on The Queen Vic. 'What do we think?' In the clip, a group of people are seen walking into the pub, but what is very telling is that there is a for sale sign above the front door. EastEnders captioned the post: 'That's one way to get to The Vic!' The show's official TikTok account has since deleted the post. Many rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on what they think is going on. One said: 'Interesting. I wonder if Linda and the Knights are selling the Vic in an auction.' 'There was a rumour before that George was going to mess up the insurance on the pub and they were going to be forced to sell it, so I wonder if that'll be what's happening here.' Another replied to them with: 'The insurance has already paid out though - unless it hasn't and he went to Teddy as a back hand job and now can't afford to pay for it? To be fair, that actually makes sense. Don't you have to go through specific contractors through insurance? I doubt you can just pick anyone. 'Personally I hope they are selling. It's time the Vic went to someone new. I'm sick of the Carters/Knights. 'Maybe that's why they haven't bothered to change the interior - cause someone else is coming a long.' 'Oh dear. Why do I have a sinking feeling it'll go to the new Mitchells?' 'Perhaps they can't afford the Vic, and I'm predicting if Phil and Linda do get closer, like a lot of people are saying that he'll bid on it and own it while they run it.' 'Oh??? Are the Knights and Linda gonna have money problems?? Who'll get the pub if that's the case?' 'New family coming into town.' MailOnline has contacted the BBC for comment. Many fans took to Reddit to share their thoughts on what they think might happen in the BBC soap since the post got deleted It's not the first time an EastEnders storyline has nearly been exposed. Earlier this month atop secret wedding in EastEnders which is due to air in the summer has been exposed after footage of the scenes was leaked online by fans. Reports have revealed that a drone managed to fly above the iconic Walford set at the Elstree Centre, located in the village of Borehamwood in Hertfordshire. According to The Sun, the footage was then leaked online by fans and the clip managed to get snippet of a limo arriving outside the Queen Vic, surrounded by some of the characters of the BBC soap getting into the party spirit. It also saw a cast member trying to shoo the electronic device away. Luckily for the show, the clip is not available to watch online anymore. Fans will be able to see the actual storyline play out on their screens later this year.

Danny Dyer reveals how his EastEnders co-stars Shane Ritchie and Jessie Wallace felt about losing their king and queen of Albert Square title: 'We took the pub and they got the hump!'

Danny Dyer has revealed his true feelings about EastEnders as he hit out at former co-stars Shane Ward and Jessie Wallace in a huge rant on Friday. The actor, 47, starred as Mick Carter on the BBC show for nine years, earning a whopping quarter of a million pounds a year at the height of his stint, before his explosive exit on Christmas Day 2022. However, reflecting on his time on the soap at a charity night at Wimbledon Club, Danny brazenly branded co-stars Jessie and Shane 'c***s'. He claimed Jessie, who portrayed Kat Slater, and Shane, who played Alfie Moon, had blanked both him and his onscreen wife Kellie Bright. Recalling his arrival on the soap in 2013, the Rivals star said it was not a warm welcome, describing the set as 'a very cliquey place to work'. He claimed his taking over the Queen Vic caused Jessie and Shane, who played the previous pub landlords to 'have the hump'. According to The Sun, Danny boldly said: 'There were a lot of people blanking us when we first turned up and me and Kellie thought 'You know what, f*ck these c*nts. Let's get together and show them something different. 'We took the pub (Queen Vic) over from Shane and Jesse. Kat and Alfie had an 11 year run and then they wanted to get rid of them so they brought us in and they had the hump. 'They were getting prickly about us coming in. I was like, 'What is the matter with these people? I have not made this call.' He added: 'We had to prove ourselves over six months. It was hard work. Then a new producer came in and sacked a load of people.' MailOnline has contacted representatives for Danny, Jessie and Shane for comment. Danny played Queen Vic landlord Mick on the BBC soap for nine years until his dramatic Christmas 2022 exit in a cliffside car chase, which left him presumed dead as his body was never found. Reflecting on his show exit, he previously admitted that he became disillusioned with his character and felt like Mick had 'lost his way'. His character came into the show back in 2013 with wife Linda, played by Kellie, and their children. It comes after Danny shared how a letter from his eldest daughter Dani made him stay in rehab when he was there to tackle his drug addiction. The actor said that he'd 'had enough' of the rehabilitation programme and was ready to walk out before receiving the correspondence from Dani, now 28. Dani, who would have been around 20 at the time, reached out to her dad to convince him to continue his treatment at the facility in South Africa. Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, Danny admitted that the letter made him realise the pain he had put his family through. Danny is married to Joanne Mas after getting together in 1992 and the couple share three children, their daughter Dani, daughter Sunnie, 18, and son Arty, 11. He told presenter Lauren Laverne: 'Then they read a letter out from home, from my daughter Dani, and it made me sit back down in that seat.' Danny did not divulge what his daughter had written but it had such an impact he changed his decision to leave rehab. Elsewhere in the interview, Danny discussed how fame has affected his private life and lead to him making some bad decisions, namely 'taking a lot of drugs'. He said: 'I'd go to nightclubs and DJ sometimes but in general just wave off of balconies and I'd get paid quite a lot of money to do it.' Looking back on his past choices, Danny said that his days of 'hedonism and mad behaviour' are over and that those times were 'awful'.

Danny Dyer hits out at EastEnders' storylines

Danny Dyer has blasted some of the "s***" storylines he was given on 'EastEnders'. The 47-year-old actor quit the soap as Mick Carter in 2022 after nine years in Walford and he admitted he was particularly unimpressed when his alter ego embarked on a romance with killer Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks). Speaking at a charity night at Wimbledon Football Club on Friday (09.05.25), The Sun on Sunday newspaper reports he said: 'You've got to sell this s***, and a lot of it is s***. You're like, 'What the f*** is this?'. Mick with Janine was mental.' Danny and co-star Kellie Bright, who played his on-screen wife Linda Carter, found the soap "very cliquey" when they started and he accused Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie of giving them a frosty reception when they joined. He said: 'When I first came in it was a very cliquey place to work. 'We took the pub (Queen Vic) over from Shane and Jesse. 'Kat and Alfie had an 11 year run and then they wanted to get rid of them so they brought us in and they had the hump. "They were getting prickly about us coming in. 'I was like, 'What is the matter with these people? I have not made this call.' "There were a lot of people blanking us when we first turned up and me and Kellie thought 'You know what, f*** these c****. Let's get together and show them something different.'' 'We had to prove ourselves over six months. 'It was hard work. Then a new producer came in and sacked a load of people.' Danny used to enjoy "a few lagers" on set from the Queen Vic, but when bosses found out, they took measures to make sure it became undrinkable, adding antiseptic to the beer barrels. He said: 'When I first arrived on set I was slipping around the side and having a few lagers and they found out so they started to put TCP into the beer. 'I wasn't off my nut. I had a drink every now and again.'

Danny Dyer reveals his true feelings about former EastEnders co-stars Jessie Wallace & Shane Richie in sweary outburst

DANNY Dyer has slammed EastEnders co-stars Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie as 'c**ts' after they blanked him when he first joined the soap. The actor - who played Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter in the BBC soap - spent nine years in the role but, despite being a fan favourite, it wasn't all plain sailing behind the scenes. 5 5 He's told how when he arrived on the show in 2013 , Jessie Wallace, 53, who plays Kat Slater, and Shane Richie, 61, who plays Alfie Moon, were not very welcoming. Speaking at a charity night at Wimbledon Football Club on Friday, he said: 'When I first came in it was a very cliquey place to work. 'We took the pub (Queen Vic) over from Shane and Jesse. 'Kat and Alfie had an 11 year run and then they wanted to get rid of them so they brought us in and they had the hump. "They were getting prickly about us coming in. 'I was like, 'What is the matter with these people? I have not made this call.'" Danny claims Jessie and Shane also gave actress Kellie Bright, 48, who played his on-screen wife Linda Carter, the silent treatment as well. He said: 'There were a lot of people blanking us when we first turned up and me and Kellie thought 'You know what, f*ck these c*nts. Let's get together and show them something different.'' 'We had to prove ourselves over six months. 'It was hard work. Then a new producer came in and sacked a load of people.' Danny Dyer risks cop probe after he reveals weapon he keeps at home for protection - and how he gave one as gift to Dani The actor quit the show in 2022 having struggled with the constraints of being in a soap while his final storyline seeing Mick coupled with killer Janine Butcher left him unimpressed. Danny also had a dig at the soap's scripts and Mick's romance with megabitch Janine Butcher, played by Charlie Brooks, 44. He said: 'You've got to sell this s***, and a lot of it is s**t. You're like, 'What the f*** is this?'. Mick with Janine was mental.' Danny also blasted the show's decision to kill off Lola Pearce, played by Danielle Harold, 32, with a brain tumour last year. He said: 'I felt for her. They came up with a storyline saying you're going to die of brain cancer. She's so incredible as an actress. She was wasted. 'OK, it's a brilliant story and you leave, but it's EastEnders — anyone can come back.' During the boozy bash Danny also confessed bosses banned him from drinking alcohol in the Queen Vic and even put antiseptic in the beer barrels. He said: 'When I first arrived on set I was slipping around the side and having a few lagers and they found out so they started to put TCP into the beer. 'I wasn't off my nut.
