(Video) Tunku Azizah Cleaning Spilt Cendol In Royal Car Melts Netizens' Hearts
We all need a down-to-earth and endearing person in our lives; being human to one another just makes the world a better place. When the royal entourage was passing through Maran, during their ongoing Kembara Phang 1.0 tour from 21st to 23rd April, a human moment was captured.
This would not be the first time Tengku Ampuan Pahang has found herself in the spotlight. In recent memory, Tunku Azizah was seen reuniting with her strict former teacher and defending our Biduanita Negara when she faced backlash. So what did she do this time that has caught everyone's attention? Let's see:
In a clip that has melted the hearts of netizens, Tunku Azizah is seen calmly cleaning up a spilt cup of cendol with a cloth inside a royal vehicle, showcasing humility and grace in a situation many wouldn't expect from royalty. The spontaneous moment was believed to have been captured by her husband, Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, during their stop in Maran.
The video was posted on 22nd April on the official Kesultanan Pahang Facebook Page, capturing the royal couple in a playful and heartwarming exchange. As Tunku Azizah wipes down the dashboard and seat, the Sultan can be heard joking: 'Keep cleaning, keep cleaning. It's not like you're not used to it.'
To which she replies with a smile, 'I'm used to cleaning, doing things on my own.' The Sultan continues with a light tease, proudly saying: 'This is great. A model mother… can sing, perform Orang Asli dances, do handicrafts, and wash cars. Follow the example of the Tunku Ampuan of Pahang.'
Users offered praise in the comments: 'What an example for the rakyat, a queen with the heart of a mother and wife, the people of Pahang are fortunate to have such a noble Sultan.' Others fawn over the cuteness of the interaction, saying: 'The charm of both the former 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the former Raja Permaisuri Agong continues to captivate. I pray that Their Majesties are blessed with long life and enduring health, and may Allah grant Tuanku the honour of serving once again as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.'
In a time when public figures seem like distant entities, it's human touches like these that remind us that kindness, humility and love can shine – even if it's sweet moments from spilt coconut milk and palm sugar syrup.
