Nick Offerman, who played Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation, also reflected on the loss, telling People magazine: 'The cast has been texting together about it all day and we're just heartbroken. Jonathan was such a sweet guy and we loved having him as our Chief Ken Hotate. A terrible tragedy.' Joss's husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, claimed in a Facebook post that the couple had been subjected to ongoing homophobic harassment in their neighborhood, including threats and a house fire. He alleged they had received repeated warnings that their home would be set on fire. However, the San Antonio Police Department stated there is currently 'no evidence to indicate Mr. Joss' murder was related to his sexual orientation.' The officers attempted life-saving measures until medics arrived, but Joss was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooter fled in a vehicle but was detained by officers a block away and booked for murder. Joss voiced John Redcorn from Season 2 through Season 13 of "King of the Hill" and already recorded lines for the upcoming revival of the popular animated series. He took over the role from original actor Victor Aaron after he died in 1996 in a car accident, as per Variety. According to the outlet, the 59-year-old was killed after a neighbor allegedly fired several bullets from a vehicle before driving away from the scene. Sigfredo Alvarez-Cega was arrested on June 2, in connection to the crime and charged with murder. He is being held on a $200,000 bail, per TMZ. E! News has reached out to San Antonio authorities as well as reps for Jonathan but has not yet heard back. Jonathan's husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales shared a message on his Facebook, where he remembered Jonathan's final moments and thanked fans for their support. 'I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved,' Tristan wrote on June 2. 'To everyone who supported him, his fans, his friends, know that he valued you deeply. He saw you as family. Much of the harassment was openly homophobic. ‌ "When we returned to the site to check our mail we discovered the skull of one of our dogs and its harness placed in clear view. This caused both of us severe emotional distress. We began yelling and crying in response to the pain of what we saw. "While we were doing this a man approached us. He started yelling violent homophobic slurs at us. He then raised a gun from his lap and fired. "Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone. We were grieving.
