OKANA's outdoor waterpark is now open to the public: Things to do, how to buy a day pass

It's been three months since Oklahoma City's newest attraction opened its doors, and another portion is ready to debut to the public. The outdoor portion of the OKANA Resort and Indoor Waterpark, known as OKANA Beach, is opening to day-pass visitors Saturday, May 24. The outdoor waterpark has been open to resort guests since May 17. 'The community response has been incredible since we opened our doors,' said Ken Leone, managing director of OKANA. 'We're seeing families drive in from across the region because there truly isn't anything like OKANA in Oklahoma or the surrounding states … The enthusiasm from locals has been particularly rewarding, as they're seeing their hometown become a premier tourist destination." From a white sand beach to water slides, an adults-only tanning pool to an inflatable obstacle course, there's something for everyone at OKANA Beach. Here's everything you need to know about how to visit and what to expect. OKANA Beach, the outdoor waterpark featured at OKANA, opens to day-pass holders on Saturday, May 24. The Memorial Day Weekend Bash will be complete with a live DJ, mermaids, giant fan dancers, stilt walkers, face painters, balloon artists, jugglers, hula hoop performers and a drone show to end the night. It will also kick off Saturdays at the Lagoon, a series of events every Saturday from June to August featuring rotating themes, live music, interactive games and curated culinary offerings. The waterpark will remain open through Labor Day. There are a range of ways to keep the entire family occupied at this outdoor waterpark, including a white sand beach, 36 private cabanas and more: The Drop-off: Two water slides twist and turn before dropping off into a deep water pool. Bounce Bay: Jump, climb and splash through this overwater obstacle course. Summit Splash: Get the thrill of a cliff dive by plunging from a platform into the water below. The Lagoon: Enter the fourth-largest pool in the nation from the white sand beach. Zip & Dip: Glide across a zipline before jumping into the water. Cabana Cove: A shallow, adults-only tanning pool exclusively for those 21 and over. Hungry and thirsty from all the fun? Refuel at the Waterbyrd restaurant and grab drinks form Okasis, the resort's swim-up bar. Waterpark tickets are included for all resort guests, but anyone can purchase a day or evening pass to explore the indoor and/or outdoor waterparks at OKANA. Here are the rates: OKANA outdoor day pass: $49.99 for access to the outdoor waterpark from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. OKANA indoor/outdoor day pass: $69.99 for access to both the outdoor and indoor waterparks. Outdoor access from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., indoor access from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. OKANA indoor/outdoor evening pass: $54.99 for access to the outdoor waterpark from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the indoor waterpark from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. This article originally appeared on Oklahoman: OKANA Beach outdoor waterpark now open to the public: How to visit
