Kendrapada: CM Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday directed the district administration and Kendrapada police to take strict legal action against illegal immigrants from Bangladesh residing in the district during his maiden visit to the coastal district Monday. During a review meeting, Majhi said local police needs to work in coordination with central agencies to deal with the issue of illegal immigration. "We will identify and take action against all illegal migrants staying in the state without valid documents. It is important for national security," he added. During the meeting, Majhi said Bhitarkanika national park and Gahiramatha marine sanctuary will be developed as eco-tourism hubs to attract more tourists.
