Keneesha Francis issues legal notice over ‘rape, death threats' amid Ravi Mohan's separation from wife Aarti
In a fresh development, Keneesha Francis has decided to take legal action against online trolls after receiving death threats and abusive messages on social media. The singer-spiritual healer has been facing intense online harassment following speculation that she is in a relationship with actor Ravi Mohan amid his separation from his wife, Aarti Ravi. On Sunday, Keneesha shared the legal statement regarding the online defamation on Instagram. A part of the statement read, 'These acts amount to direct violations of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, including Section 75 (sexual harassment through unwelcome advances or sexually colored remarks), Section 351 (criminal intimidation), and Section 356 (defamation), as well as multiple provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, including Section 66E (violation of privacy), Section 67 and Section 67 A (publication or transmission of obscene content in electronic form).' The statement detailed how Keneesha Francis has received 'rape threats, death threats, sexually explicit and obscene messages,' which caused her 'psychological injury and reputational harm.' The statement also added that all the screenshots will be taken into consideration for judicial proceedings. Keneesha Francis found herself at the centre of controversy after actor Ravi Mohan, previously known as Jayam Ravi, announced in September last year that he was parting ways with his wife, Aarti, ending their 15-year-long marriage. Rumours soon surfaced that Ravi and Keneesha were dating, which led to trolls targeting Keneesha. Earlier, in a detailed note, Ravi Mohan had accused Aarti of subjecting him to emotional and financial abuse. A few days after this, Ravi and Keneesha stepped out together for producer and entrepreneur Dr Ishari K Ganesh's daughter's wedding in Chennai, causing a stir once again.

You have the right to question my actions, but please come do it to my face. I'm happy to show each one of you — in public — my side of the story and how one person's falsification became your truth. Please take me to court if you're confident that I'm even a catalyst to anything that is happening around me now. I beg you — take me to court! Do it rightfully!' In another Instagram Story, the singer-spiritual healer wrote, 'I understand that because most of you don't know my truth and pain — words like this and worse are so easy to lay upon me. I am sorry that your assumptions about me are hurting you. I hope you forgive me for that.' She added, 'Someday and I pray to all the Gods of light, that someday soon, you will see the truth that will unfold and that day, I promise I won't hold you back for what you say. If I am wrong, I am happy to be punished by the legislation and each of you angry people. Until that day, could you please allow me to breathe a moment without hatred?' Earlier, in a detailed note, Ravi Mohan revealed that he parted ways with Aarti after enduring years of emotional and financial abuse. He claimed he had no control over his life during the marriage and was not permitted to meet or financially support his parents.
