Keneesha Francis issues legal notice over ‘rape, death threats' amid Ravi Mohan's separation from wife Aarti
In a fresh development, Keneesha Francis has decided to take legal action against online trolls after receiving death threats and abusive messages on social media. The singer-spiritual healer has been facing intense online harassment following speculation that she is in a relationship with actor Ravi Mohan amid his separation from his wife, Aarti Ravi.
On Sunday, Keneesha shared the legal statement regarding the online defamation on Instagram. A part of the statement read, 'These acts amount to direct violations of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, including Section 75 (sexual harassment through unwelcome advances or sexually colored remarks), Section 351 (criminal intimidation), and Section 356 (defamation), as well as multiple provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, including Section 66E (violation of privacy), Section 67 and Section 67 A (publication or transmission of obscene content in electronic form).'
The statement detailed how Keneesha Francis has received 'rape threats, death threats, sexually explicit and obscene messages,' which caused her 'psychological injury and reputational harm.' The statement also added that all the screenshots will be taken into consideration for judicial proceedings.

She shared the legal note with the caption, 'To all offenders: Cease and desist notice from Keneeshaa's legal team.'
Keneesha Francis found herself at the centre of controversy after actor Ravi Mohan, previously known as Jayam Ravi, announced in September last year that he was parting ways with his wife, Aarti, ending their 15-year-long marriage. Rumours soon surfaced that Ravi and Keneesha were dating, which led to trolls targeting Keneesha.
Earlier, in a detailed note, Ravi Mohan had accused Aarti of subjecting him to emotional and financial abuse. A few days after this, Ravi and Keneesha stepped out together for producer and entrepreneur Dr Ishari K Ganesh's daughter's wedding in Chennai, causing a stir once again.
