International Museum Day celebrations in Kochi on May 19
This year's International Museum Day celebrations will be held at the Ernakulam Tribal Complex on Monday (May 19) under the aegis of the Kerala Institute for Research, Training and Development Studies of Scheduled Castes and Tribes (KIRTADS).
O.R. Kelu, Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and Devaswoms, will inaugurate the event, according to a press release.
Members of tribal communities and scholars are expected to participate. Jenee Peter, Head of the Department of History at UC College, Aluva, will deliver the keynote address. The celebrations will also include a discussion on tribal heritage, the release added.
