Kerry Condon's next film Train Dreams primed for 2026 Oscars bid
The Kerry Condon-starring Train Dreams is to be released in cinemas in November as Netflix positions the acclaimed drama for an awards season run.
The Tipperary star is joined by Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, Nathaniel Arcand, Clifton Collins Jr, John Diehl, Paul Schneider, William H Macy, and narrator Will Patton in the adaptation of the Denis Johnson novella of the same name.
" Train Dreams is the moving portrait of Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker who leads a life of unexpected depth and beauty in the rapidly changing America of the early 20th Century," reads the synopsis.
The film will open in selected cinemas in November before debuting on Netflix worldwide on Friday 21 November.
Train Dreams is directed by Clint Bentley, the Oscar-nominated co-writer of Sing Sing.
For Train Dreams, Bentley and Sing Sing director and co-writer Greg Kwedar have adapted Johnson's novella for the screen.
Train Dreams received its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, earlier this year and was acquired by Netflix.
Condon is currently on screens opposite Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, and Javier Bardem in the motor racing drama F1.
