UFC full fight video: Kayla Harrison dominates Ketlen Vieira to earn title shot

UFC full fight video: Kayla Harrison dominates Ketlen Vieira to earn title shot Kayla Harrison locks in her UFC 316 title shot with a unanimous decision win over Ketlen Vieira. Kayla Harrison punched her ticket to a UFC championship fight this past October. At UFC 307, the two-time PFL champion defeated longtime contender Ketlen Vieira on the main card. The dominant unanimous decision was enough to get her a shot at the UFC women's bantamweight belt, which was claimed by Julianna Peña that same night. Watch Harrison's key win above. Harrison (18-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) returns Saturday in the co-main event of UFC 316 (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. She takes on defending champion Peña (13-5 MMA, 8-3 UFC) in a five-round UFC women's bantamweight championship fight.

Ketlen Vieira calls for loser of Julianna Peña vs. Kayla Harrison UFC 316 title fight

Ketlen Vieira calls for loser of Julianna Peña vs. Kayla Harrison UFC 316 title fight Katlen Viera wants her next fight to be against the loser of Saturday's UFC 316 co-main event Show Caption Hide Caption Ketlen Vieira proud to get rebound win after late weight class change UFC on ESPN 68 winner Ketlen Vieira talks to MMA Junkie and other reporters post-fight after her unanimous decision victory over Macy Chiasson. LAS VEGAS – Ketlen Vieira has her eyes locked on the upcoming UFC women's bantamweight title fight. The longtime contender wants the loser of Julianna Peña vs. Kayla Harrison, which goes down Saturday in the UFC 316 co-main event in Newark, N.J. After beating Macy Chiasson on Saturday at UFC on ESPN 68, Vieira (15-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) thinks that's the fight that makes most sense for her so she can start positioning herself for a title shot. "We know we have the (title) fight coming up, and it's not even under dispute: When Amanda (Nunes) comes back, she fights for the title," Vieira told reporters at the UFC on ESPN 68 post-fight press conference. "So given the fact that she's going to fight for the championship against whoever wins, whoever loses that fight, I think it would be good for me. So whoever loses between Kayla and Julianna, that's the fight for me." Although Vieira had a dominant decision win over Chiasson, the victory came with controversy. Vieira couldn't make the agreed-upon bantamweight limit and had the fight moved to featherweight. She said a medical problem made it impossible for her to make the weight. "Sometimes you have problems that fall out of your control, out of your hands, which is what happened to me: I had a medical problem," Vieira said. "Unfortunately, some people stop with that, so that doesn't make my win any less. My opponent also hadn't made weight for the weight class when the problem happened. She also accepted the fight, and I think if you accept a fight it's because you think you're going to win – so that doesn't take anything away from my win."
